Justification
according to ‘The Doctrines of Grace’
(aka Calvinism aka Roman Catholicism) is accurately summarized as
follows:
1.
Justification is the internal renovation and the renewing of
a man
… that is… human sanctification.
2.
Justification comes by an infusion of God’s grace, such that
man is
justified on the basis of what the Holy Spirit has done in him.
3.
Justification means that man himself is made just … that is …
made
pleasing to God in his own person.
In
practical terms, The Doctrines of Grace (aka
Calvinism aka Roman Catholicism) justification can be expressed in this
way:
“Here is a
sinner … vile and wicked … totally
depraved. God’s grace acting within him changes him into a
person
pleasing to God … and by this grace acting within him, he is
justified
before God”
The
Doctrines of Grace believer (aka
Calvinist aka Roman Catholicism) will say:
“Righteousness
by faith means that I cannot save
myself, but by faith I can receive God’s infusion of transforming
grace. His
grace can change my heart, and by his grace in my heart, I can be
acceptable in
his sight.”
In other
words:
“Sinful
man cannot, of himself, be pleasing to God.
For that, he must receive a gift from God which transforms him
interiorly,
cleanses him and sanctifies him, by adorning him with qualities that
render him
pleasing to God.”
Such is
the mystery of iniquity that now worketh (2 Thessalonians 2:7) … that is the very hallmark of Satan the subtil
(Genesis
3:1).

it does not come through the front door with a chainsaw and a Devil’s
facemask.

… Why do
you live in fear? What makes you sure you
have been selected by God before the foundation of the world?
… How do
you know you have had internal renovation
by the Holy Spirit … in order to be pleasing to God …. who would then
allow you
to believe?
… Have you
been fooling yourself that you were regenerated
and born again?
Paul’s
justification in Romans
chapter 3 and 4, is that man is justified by God’s work of
grace in Christ. This is an objective and Christ
centred
experience.
