DR KENT HOVIND’S CONFUSION about a
MID TRIBULATION RAPTURE
Part 2
We
here at Australian Bible Ministries are deeply saddened at Dr
Kent
Hovind’s adoption of a mid-tribulation rapture … however we are not
surprised, as the Bible says that the saints, Dr Hovind included,
will not
endure sound doctrine. The following verse is directed at the saved
saint and
not the unsaved.
“For the time will come
when they will not endure sound doctrine; but
after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having
itching
ears;” 2 Timothy 4:3.
Yes, Dear Reader, Dr Hovind
with itching ears, and from his own lusts, and
while in prison, has heaped to himself a teacher that has led him
astray.
But here is the real crime
– as a modern day spiritual Pied Piper, Dr
Hovind has also led his followers astray. While proving himself in
one area
of the Bible, that of creation-evolution, his followers assume that he
is
knowledgeable in other areas. This is called the Halo effect.
Is Dr Hovind not aware of
the following points?
1.
He
is now openly and defiantly telling the Lord,
that Christ will be coming back three and a half years into the seven
year
tribulation. He is changing Bible doctrine to conform to what he
believes.
2.
He
has taken away the reward of the crown of
rejoicing meant for those who eagerly look for Christ coming for his
church
(1Thess 2:19; 4:16).
3.
He
is not aware that “… the terror of the
Lord…” (2Cor 5:11) is directed at Christians, at teachers and
Pastors?
Apart from being willingly
ignorant of the other 39 Bible reasons that
clearly state a pre-trib rapture, Dr Hovind fails to understand the
tribulation
and what it is –

IS CALLED THE WRATH OF GOD AND CHRISTIANS CAN
NOT BE SUBJECT TO GOD’S WRATH (1THESS 4:9)
Dr Hovind’s
physical situation in prison has unsettled his mind and the
angel of light has appeared unto him. Now, Satan will use any means to
unsettle
any saint and his followers, and who better than a doyen of the
creation-evolution debate himself, a giant, indeed a luminary, Dr
Hovind
himself.
Let me state
again - here is the real crime – that Dr Hovind would rob the
rewards of those who believe a pre-tribulation rapture
Knowing this first, that
there shall come in the last days scoffers,
walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of
his
coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as
they were
from the beginning of the
creation. 2 Peter 3:3-4
Dear saints what should we
do?
As Dr Hovind is a dear
brother in Christ, we are called to pray and ask
the Lord to open the eyes of Dr Hovind’s understanding (Eph 1:18) that
he would
repent of this monstrous and satanic delusion that he presently finds
himself
in.
