“NINE MORE BIBLE REASONS THAT PROVE JESUS CHRIST IS GOD”

10. The Father and the Word … Jesus Christ … are one

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” (1 John 5:7).

This means there is one God made up of three persons.

As an apple is made up of three parts – the core, the flesh and the skin.

Is the core the apple? Yes. Is the skin the apple? Yes. Is the flesh the apple? Yes.

One apple but made up of three parts.

Now there is one God with three persons – the Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost.

One God not three Gods.

So God the Father is God. God the Son (Jesus Christ) is God, and God the Holy Ghost is God.

Further confirmation is given with the following scripture of the description of Jesus Christ …

“Who being the brightness of his (God the Father’s) glory, and the express image of his (God the Father’s) person, and upholding all things by the word of his (Jesus Christ’s) power, when he had by himself (Jesus) purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;” (Hebrews 1:3)

Dear Reader, can you see that? God the Father is a person, Jesus Christ is a person who was expressed out of the Godhead (1 John 5:7-8).

Jesus is the express image of God!

11. God’s blood is Jesus Christ’s blood

“Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.” (Acts 20:28)

As Christ is God, his shed blood is God’s blood.

12. God became a man in the flesh … Jesus Christ

There are three scriptures that specifically state that the child of Mary was a child of the Holy Ghost. Now we know that the Holy Ghost is one with God and therefore is God … as is Jesus Christ … also called the Word in heaven (1John 5:7-8)

The Bible says And without controversy (without argument) great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh…” (1 Timothy 3:16) - God was MAN–ifested … that is … became a physical man.

“Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.” (Matthew 1:18)

“And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.” (Luke 1:35)

13. Jesus Christ is God Almighty, Alpha and Omega

and is the beginning and the end and the first and the last

(a) Jesus declares that he is the Lord God Almighty:

The following is Jesus speaking:

I (Jesus) am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord (Jesus), which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” (Revelation 1:8)

The following is God speaking:

“And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD (God) appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.” (Genesis 17:1)

Conclusion: Jesus is Almighty God and Almighty God is Jesus.

(b) Jesus declares that he is the Alpha and the Omega which is the beginning and the end.

The following is Jesus speaking:

“And he (Jesus) said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.” (Revelation 21:6)

“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.” (Revelation 22:13)

(c) Jesus declares that he is the first and the last:

The following is God speaking:

“Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I (God) am the first, I also am the last.” (Isaiah 48:12)

The following is Jesus speaking:

“And, behold, I (Jesus) come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.” (Revelation 22:12-13)

14. God calls Jesus God

God talks to Jesus Christ when he says "But unto the Son (Jesus) he (God the Father) saith, Thy Throne, O God, is forever and ever  ...” (Hebrews 1:8)

Could you imagine that God would call anyone God if they weren't? Was God lying? Of course not.

Here we have God talking to God, this is God the Father addressing God the Son.

15. How many Gods and Saviours are there? … just one!

Just one.

This is God speaking:

“I, even I, am the LORD (God); and beside me there is no saviour.” (Is 43:11)

“Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts … and beside me there is no God.” (Is 44:6)

The following scriptures say that Jesus Christ is the Saviour:

“But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour; To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour.” (Titus 1:3-4)

and

“… God our Saviour …. Jesus Christ our Saviour” (Titus 3:4, 6)

16. The Granville-Sharpe Rule

For example take the verse in Titus 2:13:

"Looking for that bossed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ" (Titus 2:13)

This of course refers to the Rapture (1Thessalonians 4:16-17) when Jesus will come back for those who believe in Him by faith alone. The critics argue that this refers to two people coming "the great God" and "our Saviour Jesus Christ". They say that these are not one and the same person.

When this argument was put forward, a certain rule of Greek grammar was still undiscovered. An expert in Greek grammar, Mr Granville-Sharpe, discovered the following Greek grammatical rule in the late 18th century:

"When there are two nouns in the same case connected by the word "and", with the first noun having the definite article "the" and the second noun not having the article, the second noun refers to the same thing the first noun does and is a further description of it."

Case proven! "the great God" is the same person as "our Saviour Jesus Christ" God's word is always true.

17. Jesus Christ equal with God

“Who (Jesus), being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:” (Philippians 2:6)

Furthermore …

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word (Jesus), and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” (1 John 5:7).

“And the Word (Jesus) was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14)

18. The Book of Titus confirms that God and Jesus are one and the same

In the Old Testament, God Jehovah says there is no saviour other than him. He also says there is no god but him. “I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.” (Is 43:11)

“Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts … and beside me there is no God.” (Is 44:6)

“… God our Saviour …. Jesus Christ our Saviour” (Titus 3:4, 6)
