THE SUN METER
and
THE JOY OF THE LORD

It is a wonderful thing to be happy in the Lord.
If you are walking after the flesh you do not know what you are missing. The joy of the Lord is a very precious thing.

Now here is a little instrument called a sun meter.
They are very common these days and we have seen them in little toys. When it is in the sun it works and the little toy will wave its arms and so on. When it is in the shadow the little arms stop waving.

So is the joy of the Lord in the believer’s heart.
All is melody to the Lord until the shadow of disobedience falls upon it, then the music ceases. “The joy of the Lord is your strength.”

It is those who win souls for Christ who know the joy of God in their hearts, and have the joy reflected in their faces.

“… for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength. (Nehemiah 8:10)
