BOXING MATCH”
aka
“How good do I have to be to get to heaven?”
Imagine
jumping in the ring with Mike Tyson?
A
conversation between you and God:
God:
“I challenge you to a fight. The loser will
everlastingly burn in hell. Obviously, there’ll be no rematches either!”
You:
“You’re on God!”
God:
“Right … my fighter will be the Ten Commandments!”
You:
“No worries God … I’ll jump in the ring myself!”
Here’s
how it goes …
The
first second of Round One … “BAM! WHACK!” … they
carry you out on a stretcher.
And
as you burn in the literal and everlasting hell, three
scriptures you heard about in Sunday school, come flooding back to your
mind …
“For
whosoever shall keep the whole law, and
yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” (James 2:10) …
the law will beat you everytime!
“Cursed
is every one that continueth
not in all things which are written in the book of the law to
do them.”
(Galatians 3:10) …
the law will beat you everytime!
“Christ
hath REDEEMED us from the
curse of the law, being made a curse for us:” (Galatians 3:13)
And
as you burn and burn and burn and burn and burn and
burn and burn forever … these will be your everlasting thoughts … along
with
the physical pain of course …
“What
a fool I was! Why didn’t I send in Jesus Christ to
fight God’s laws! Jesus would have beaten the Ten Commandments as my
fighter on
my behalf!”
Dear
Reader you have a choice …
Hopefully
you will now say “Thank you Jesus for defeating
God’s laws for me! You have set me free from their impossible demands!
Thank
you for saving me! You only are my Saviour! You have REDEEMED
me from
the curse of the law, being made a curse for me:”
