And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)

The world says “The sun will rise tomorrow. Everything will work out if you just love yourself.”

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; (Ephesians 5:20)

The world says “I can’t give thanks to God. I’ll just give thanks to the universe.”

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)

The world says “We’re not here for a long time, just a good time. Let’s eat, drink  and be merry. As long as I keep busy, I can get some sort of peace because then I won’t have to think about things.”

Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. (1Thessalonians 5:16-18)

The world says “Be happy. Stay positive and just be grateful you can wake up and smell the roses. Life is a gift. Not only that, be a source of inspiration to all those around you.”

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
(2 Timothy 1:7)

The world’s mantra is “No fear for me. So I’m jumping out of planes and swimming with the sharks to overcome my fear. Anyhow, I’ll be able to give everyone the power of my love not fear.”

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. (Proverbs 3:5-8)

The world says “Trust in yourself with all your heart; lean not unto God’s understanding; In all your ways acknowledge yourself, and you will direct your own paths. Be wise in your own eyes: fear financial ruin, and it is not really necessary to be good all the time, just don’t get caught. It shall be health to your bank balance.”
