TEACH THE
GIFTS OF THE HOLY GHOST?”
ANSWER:
“VERY EASILY AND SIMPLY”
EXPLANATION:
1.
Concentrate
on the so called ‘lowlier’
Holy Ghost “Gifts for Others” of Romans 12:6-8 and forget about
1 Cor
12:8-10.
Why?
The
Romans gifts put others first by edifying them.
The
Corinthian gifts are subject to “The Strutters” … you know…
people
showing off.
Having
then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us,
whether PROPHECY, let us prophesy according to the proportion
of faith; Or
ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth,
on
teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth,
let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence;
he that
sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness. Romans 12:6-8

These are
the less showy gifts than those of 1Cor 12:8-10 and
THEY ARE DIFFERENT except that prophecy is included in
both
accounts.
For
to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another
the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith
by the
same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same
Spirit; To
another the working of miracles; to another PROPHECY;
to another discerning
of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another
the interpretation
of tongues: 1 Corinthians 12:8-10

Why the difference? Romans 12 is written one
year after 1
Corinthians 12 and the ‘showy’ gifts of the latter account are no
longer needed
and had very quickly been discarded.
The
Christian gifts of the Romans account are the real ones that
Christians need when they get together… that is they put others
first.
The
gifts of the Corinthian account allow puffed show-offs to
misuse the gifts meant for the Jews.
4.
Prophecy is
still mentioned in Romans 12 as Paul still has a few books
to write for the New Testament. Furthermore, John is not yet to the
Book of
Revelation as well, so Paul is not wanting to say the gift of prophecy
had
ceased at this stage.
5.
The showy
gifts of the Corinthian account were not part of the Christian
church 120 years ago.
They
have been wrongly revived and brought back to infect the church.
They
appeal to the pride of man.
They
were for the Jews not the Christians.
6.
But what
about “words of wisdom” and “words of knowledge”
and “faith”?
Dear
Reader, start studying the Book of Proverbs to get some WORDS OF
KNOWLEDGE for errant Christians.
This
book is the study of human behaviour and a good understanding of
how people tick.
For
WORDS OF WISDOM, I’d start studying the Bible and scan the
King James Bible into your memory bank.
Then
I start praying to the Lord to give you wisdom in all situations …
and he will!
FAITH? Well, where do we start?
So
then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Romans
10:17
WANT
MORE FAITH? DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE!
But
without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that
cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of
them
that DILIGENTLY seek him.
Hebrews 11:6
But
look folks, if all else fails and you don’t or won’t
have the gifts of the Holy Ghost, don’t fall apart, I’d concentrate on
charity.
Why?
And now abideth faith,
hope,
charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
1 Corinthians 13:13
…
and if you do, you’ll find you are putting into action some of the
gifts of Romans 12:6-8 … like giving with cheerfulness and
showing mercy.
