“PEEK A BOO! GUESS WHO’S BEHIND THE ESV?”
Why
…
let’s take a look! This won’t take long!
In
constructing the tabernacle in the desert, God gives the following
instructions:
The
King James Bible says “And he (Moses) made a
covering for
the tent of rams' skins dyed red, and a
covering of
badgers' skins above that.” (Exodus 36:19)
…
with
“dyed red” representing animal blood for the
covering of
sins, and the badger being the natural and deadly
enemy of
the serpent (Genesis
3:1).

And
in addition, should the snake manage to bite the badger, the badger
will not
be harmed, as it is impervious to any snake poison!
Yes
Dear Reader, from up on high in the sky, God looked down at the
tabernacle as
it journeyed through the desert and said to himself “Ah! That’s my
tabernacle
alright! Blood and badgers … blood for sin and
badger
death to the serpent
Satan.”
Now
the RSV Roman Catholic Edition says “And he made for the
tent a
covering of tanned rams’ skins and goatskins.”
and
word for word we have …
The
English
Standard Version
says “And
he made for the tent a covering of tanned
rams’ skins
and goatskins.”
(Exodus 36:19)
Why
… looky there! NO blood
and NO badgers!
What
‘wonderful’ version has Rome foisted on the Christian?
It’s
bastard offspring … the
‘wonderful’ ESV!
(We’ll
do a run down on the ESV Preface real soon folks).
Now
we all know that Rome has booked its spot in the lake of fire, and if
they
can’t take a Christian there, at least their publication of the ESV can take away some of the glory of
the old testament tabernacle … being a type and foreshadow of Christ to
come …
with Christ’s blood on the cross and defeat of Satan.
And
to
finish off … what do we have with Rome’s other publications?
Hold
the phone … the NIV and the NASB have hides of
sea cows and porpoise
skins!
The
NIV
says “Then they made for the tent a covering of rams skins dyed
red, and
over that a covering of hides of sea cows.”
The
NASB
says “And he made a covering for the tent of rams skins dyed red,
and a
covering of porpoise skins above that.”
As someone once said “If it wasn’t so serious, it would be funny!”
