“THE CHRISTIAN’S RUBICON”
aka “passing a point of no return”
There
are two Rubicons to be crossed in any person’s life … and each
is a
point of NO return.
The
Rubican was a bridge in a battle, that when crossed over, there was no
retreating back over it.
Similar
to Hannibal, who burnt all his boats, so that there was no retreat …
but to go
forward over the Alps to attack.
1.
THE RUBICON OF BELIEVING ON
THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
This
means being
saved out
of this world and losing one’s life (Acts 16:31)
2.
THE RUBICON OF CHOOSING
THE KING JAMES BIBLE
This
means you
will be cut
you off from 99% of other Christians … oh yes! … “Let’s all
love Jesus
and let’s concentrate on that shall we?” is their cry.
This
means it
will cost
a Christian his friends, family, position, money, prestige and so on.
This
means
having limited
Christian fellowship as fellowship involves similar fellows in the same
ship,
rowing in the same direction and believing the same thing … and using
the same
Bible.
As
Paul states …
“Now
I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye
all speak
the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you;
but that
ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in
the same
judgment.” (1 Corinthians 1:10)
This
means that
Christians
do not follow Christ directly … but as Paul states …“Be
ye followers
of me (Paul), even as I also am of Christ.” (1 Corinthians
11:1)
This
means that
there is
no unity in diversity … a church with the King James Bible
along with
the versions.
This
means going
out on a limb
… being 100% … all in on the King James Bible.
This
means
putting all
your eggs into one basket … being King James Only.
This
means not
being swayed
by every wind of doctrine that pops their head up in all the versions,
as Paul
says …
“That
we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro,
and carried
about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men,
and
cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;”
(Ephesians
4:14) …
code language
for Bible versions.
This
means not
being part
of the falling away as Paul states …
“Let
no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except
there come
a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son
of
perdition;”
(2 Thessalonians 2:3)
This
means studying to
show yourself approved unto God as Paul states …
“Study
to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth
not to be
ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy
2:15)
This
means choosing
sound doctrine as the scripture says …
“For
the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;
but
after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers,
having itching
ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the
truth, and
shall be turned unto fables.” (2 Timothy 4:3-4)
This
means choosing Paul
and his sound doctrine (1Timothy 1:10; 2 Timothy 4:3; Titus 1:9; 21:1)
…
and the list goes … and Dear Reader … IT WILL COST!
So
for most Christians … one Rubicon
is more than enough.

Dear Reader, did you know that …
DOCTRINE
DIVIDES!
It’s generally uttered by those looking for the
lowest common denominator.
