“DO BIBLE NUMBERS HAVE
A PARTICULAR MEANING?”

The following looks at the Bible numbers of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15.

THE NUMBER 1

This is God’s number - “…I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.” (Is 44:6).

Of course, Jesus Christ is God with “…being the brightness of his (God’s) glory, and the express image of his (God’s) person …” (Heb 1:1-3) and the Holy Ghost is God.

God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost are the three persons of the Godhead.

THE NUMBER 2

This is the number of Jesus Christ “…Jesus Christ, the Son of God…”  (Mark 1:1) with Jesus being the 2nd person of the Godhead. Jesus is “…the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father…” (John 1:18)

THE NUMBER 3

The number of the Godhead (Father, Son, Holy Ghost and loosely called the trinity) mentioned three times in the Bible (Acts17:29, Rom1:20, Col 2:9), is three.

Creation abounds with ‘threes’ eg height, length and breadth; past, present and future; steam, water and ice; man, woman and child etc.

Specifically, this is the number of holy Spirit and in particular, the indwelling Holy Ghost. “But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father …” (John 15:26)

THE NUMBER 4

This is the number of the physical Jesus being from the 4th tribe of Judah “…that our Lord sprang out of Juda…” (Heb 7:14).

Furthermore, “In the beginning God…” (Gen 1:1) proves that Jesus is God. How? God is the 4th word in the verse and Jesus is from the 4th tribe of Judah.

THE NUMBER 5

This stands for death. Man with five fingers and five toes is physical and dies. Furthermore, “… spear smote him under the fifth rib…”
(2Sam 2:23,
2Sa 3:27 ,2Samuel 4:6,
2 Samuel 20:10)

THE NUMBER 6

The number of man. “So God created man...the sixth day”  (Gen 1:27, 31).

The number of the antichrist is “the name of the beast …for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. (Rev 13:17-18)

THE NUMBER 7

This is God’s perfect number and is listed 54 times in the Book of Revelation with 54 = 2 x 27 = 2 x 3 x 3 x 3 = JC x triple Godhead

A Representation of the Perfect Numbers of 3 and 7 which form the Godhead

From the above diagram, we see that the number 7 is made up of ‘two Godheads’ of F, S, HG on either side of the Son JC, which all together make up a Godhead of three.

THE NUMBER 8

* This the number of new beginning and physical resurrection. 8 = 2 x 4 (2 = JC and 4th = tribe of Judah). This is the number of the Son of man being Jesus.

* Young males under “…eight days old shall be circumcised…” (Gen 17:12) however the true circumcision is that “…of the heart, in the spirit…” (Rom 2:29)

* Jesus rose physically on the 8th day,

* Christians worship “…upon the first day (8th day) of the week, when the disciples came together…” (Acts 20:7)

* In addition, Noah, a type of Jesus, was “…the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness…” (2Pet 2:5).

* Plus, Paul (his gospel) is from the tribe of Benjamin (Ex 1:3) having 8 letters.

THE NUMBERS 12 and 14

#12 = complete but physical

#14 = complete and spiritual

* Both #12 and #14 are the numbers of Jesus with 12 = 2 (JC) x 6 (JC is man as the Son of man) and 14 = 2 (JC) x 7 (the Son of God).

* With Paul having the authority of the physical 12th tribe of Benjamin (Ex 1:3, Phil 3:5), he is the spiritual 14th apostle with the spiritual gospel. Indeed 14 (spiritual) = 12 (physical) + 2 (JC Son of God).

* The #12 = 4 x3 is physical completeness as Jesus #4 = 4th tribe of Judah with the Godhead number = 3 (Father, Son, Holy Ghost) being listed three times in the Bible (Acts 17:29, Rom 1:20, Col 2:9).

In addition, Jesus has 12 apostles (Matt 12:2); there are 12 tribes (Gen 49:28); there were 12 ephod stones (Ex 28:21); there will be 12 gates in the new Jerusalem with 12 angels (Rev 21:12) with 12 foundations (Rev 21:14). All are physical.

Although Jesus’ gospel to the Jews with 12 apostles was complete, it is still not the ‘perfect’ gospel with an inherent ‘physical corruption’ of Judas, being the 12th physical apostle (Matt 10:4, Luke 6:16), and is replaced by Matthias the 13th. But God seeks perfection with Paul the 14th.

Jesus preaches the physical Messianic kingdom of heaven gospel to the Jews but God’s spiritual gospel is to have the 14th apostle Paul “…born out of due time…” (1Cor15:8), preaching “… my (Paul’s kingdom of God) gospel …” listed three times (Rom 2:16; 16:25; 2Tim 2:8).

With Paul coming from the 12th tribe of Benjamin (Rom 11:1), Paul’s doctrine ‘supersedes’ the gospel of the physical Son of man (the Messiah) going further, being the 14th apostle. It is the perfect gospel with 14 = 2 (JC) x 7 (the number 7 of the Godhead).

Note: The phrase ‘the Son of man’ is mentioned 88 times in the NT, with 88 = 4 x 22 (Judah x Omega the Hebrew alphabet’s 22nd letter)

Indeed the 14th apostle has the absolute spiritual and perfect “… gospel of the uncircumcision… committed unto me (Paul)” (Gal 2:7)

If God wanted his spiritual gospel to bear the number 11, Paul would have been born from the tribe of Joseph. In addition, the #12 is listed 22 times in John’s Revelation with 22 being Hebrew alphabet’s last number.

THE NUMBER 13 = 12 + 1

Satan’s number 13 = 12 (a created physical being) + 1 (covets to be God).

Paul was never to be the 13th apostle as the #13 is SODOMY (Gen 13:13) and REBELLION “…Ishmael his son was thirteen years old …” (Gen 17:25) and a CURSE (Aaron being law)

“All the cities … of Aaron …were thirteen cities with their suburbs.” (Joshua 21:19) and SELFISHNESS  “But Solomon was building his own house thirteen years …” (1 Kings 7:1). The word ‘thirteen’ is listed 15 times = 5 x 3 in the Old Testament = triple times the death #5.

THE NUMBER 11

a. The # 11 = 12 - 1 = incomplete. God ordains that Paul comes from the 12th tribe

and not the incomplete 11th of Joseph and with Paul as the 14th apostle – certainly not the 13th.

b. The # 11 = leaderless

“… behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.” (Genesis 37:9).

The # 11 is leaderless, begs completion and reluctantly desires to worship the 12th.

c. The # 11 = physical, not spiritual

“…a covering upon the tabernacle: eleven curtains shalt thou make…And thou shalt couple five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves …” (Ex 26:7-9) ie 5+6 = ‘death’ plus ‘man’.

Eleven (incomplete) curtains represent the physical tabernacle on earth till the perfect tabernacle made without hands comes – that is Jesus = 4x3 ie “… a greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands…” (Heb 9:11)

d. The # 11 = to do evil

“Jehoiakim was twenty and five (5 x 5) years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years … And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD…”. (2Kings 23:36-37).

Furthermore, “Zedekiah … reigned eleven yearshe did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD…” (2Kings 24:18-19)

e. The # 11 = type of man

The # 11 is listed 18 times in the Old Testament with 3 x 6 = 18 and 6 = the number of man.

In addition, the # 11 is mentioned 6 times in the New Testament with 6 the number of man

The number ‘ELEVEN’ represents “incomplete”, “leaderless” “desiring to worship”, “a type of the number of man”, “not perfect”, “not spiritual”, “a type of the physical” and “to do evil”.
