“EMBRACING YOUR LIMITATIONS?”

The latest self-help book on the market is called “EMBRACING YOUR LIMITATIONS”.

And of course, it is simply another attempt by the world to rename sin … and should be called “EMBRACING YOUR SINS”.

The author’s main message is that he is sick and tired the ‘positive visualizations’ of having the perfect wife, the perfect job, the perfect lifestyle … and so on.

In his own words, he simply does not want to ‘improve’ himself, but totally accept who he really is … a very angry, a very funny bon vivant with a lust for life and a massive appetite for joy and fascinating people. Above all, he does not want to be boring.

His basic message is to stop putting pressure on himself by not attempting to live his dreams. Be your own god … set your own rules … don’t be swayed by others!

Instead, he wants to live the life he already has with all its imperfections (aka sins)

In essence, the author says there is a whole industry out there making billions by getting you to better yourself … which generally ends in failure anyway.

Other titles to the book could be “LOWER THE BAR IN YOUR LIFE” and stop pretending and striving to meet goals. “BE YOUR OWN GOD” is another … “LIVE BY YOUR TEN COMMANDMENTS” … “LOVE YOUR SINS”… “THERE IS NO GOD” and so on.  

His message is to accept who you are … you know … drunkenness, lying, anger, borrowing other people’s things aka stealing, laziness, over-active libido aka ‘can’t help myself when it comes to the opposite sex’ and you know … the list is endless.

“Hey yeh! That’s me!” the author says “I’m not perfect and no-one else is! Let’s all live with who we actually are and become successful in living the life who I actually am!”

“Wow! I feel free already! Now I can just let things happen naturally in life … because after all … death comes to us all!”

“In order to accept others for who they are, it’s important to accept who I really am!” 

Apparently, his Mum has a saying that God helps those who help themselves. His belief is that you are your own god, which means you will help yourself if you help yourself. Don’t cave in to others, don’t lie down and don’t surrender to all the self-help books … EXCEPT HIS!

NOW ALL THIS IS VERY CONFUSING AND HYPOCRITICAL!
The author has simply published another self-help book called HELP YOURSELF.  

Is it limitations or sins?
As mentioned, the title of this book should read “EMBRACING YOUR SINS”.

The author of EYL hates the word ‘sin’, and his readers also, …. that’s why his book is popular.

In this light, the “Thou shalt nots …” of the Ten Commandments will be eliminated as the Bible sets the standards too high.

Of course, little do people realize, that the Ten Commandments were given to condemn people by showing they are sinners and must be saved (Acts 4:12) … no law means no sins!

One of the wrongful conclusions of “Embracing Your Limitations” is to show us we are all born good and not sinners (Romans 3:12) 

SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM IS?
It’s all about ‘you’, ‘me’, ‘I’ and what ‘we’ want.

As our lives become more and more self-centered, it means God is pushed to the ‘outer’.

Everyone has forgotten who God is and what he wants.

Hence when I go preaching on the street, the following scriptures go over like a lead balloon.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23)

“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” (James 2:10)

“Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.” (James 4:17)

“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” (Hebrews 9:27)

“Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.” (2 Corinthians 5:11)

“… how can ye escape the damnation of hell?” (Matthew 23:33)

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

MORAL OF THE STORY:
“Change the language from ‘sins’ to ‘limitations’ and no-one gets saved.”
