“ARE THERE ALTERNATIVE UNIVERSES?”

The multiverse is a term that some scientists use to describe the idea that beyond the observable universe … other universes may exist.

Dear Reader, I have an unsaved friend who thinks that when he dies, he will slip into one of these alternative universes … and then flit from one to another … you know … like some sort of a free agent … “Look at me! Whoopeeee! I’m flying across time and through the universes.” Is this true?

There are ‘alternative’ universes … but the Bible calls these “the worlds” as follows ….

“Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;” (Hebrews 1:2)

“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” (Hebrews 11:3)

Now in the mouth of two or three witnesses (Matthew 18:16) we establish that these worlds are the various heavens and hells … at least three hells and at least three heavens ….

“For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.” (Deuteronomy 32:22)

“For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.” (Psalm 86:13)

If there were only two hells, the scriptures would say … the lower hell.

Indeed Paul speaks of three heavens as follows …

“I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.”
(2 Corinthians 12:2)

Now these worlds are not to be confused with the term “the ages” which are the different dispensations of earth’s lineal time (Ephesians 2:7; 3:5,21).

So let’s count how many worlds that ‘were, are and are to come’ …

1. God created the heaven (not heavens) and the earth
(Genesis 1:1) … there’s two (2)

2. Within this heaven there are three heavens (2 Corinthians 12:2) … there’s three (3)

3. Abraham’s bosom (now ceased) (Luke 16:23) … separate from hell … there’s two (2)

4. There are at least three hells in hell (Psalm 86:13) … there’s three (3)

5. There is the lake of fire (Revelation 20:14) … there’s one (1)

6. There is the new heaven and a new earth (Revelation 21:1) … there’s two (2)

That makes thirteen worlds … or as the world would say thirteen multiverses.

I know which ‘multiverse’ my unsaved friend will enter upon death … then he will ‘flit’ from there into the everlasting lake of fire (Revelation 20:10) … no more flitting after that!

Yes … it’s unbelievable Dear Reader, the mind tricks that Satan uses to eliminate the fear of a burning hell after death.

Dear Reader … how about you? (1 John 5:13)

Question:  WHY WOULD GOD TORMENT SOMEONE
IN THE ETERNAL BURNING FLAMES OF HELL?

Answer:This question is generally asked by those who fail to understand the incalculable and unimaginable cost to a pure, holy and sinless God. This cost involved becoming a sinless man and shedding his blood on a cross for the sins of the world. Furthermore, man fails to grasp the magnitude of God’s love, heaven, as being equal and opposite to his wrath of eternal physical burnings in hell. Simply put, if you don’t want his love in Jesus Christ, you can have his wrath.

Two inadequate human examples that would illustrate this truth, are given as follows...
