“HOLY GHOST or HOLY SPIRIT”?

Q: Why do Christians use the titles  of the “Holy Ghost” and “Holy Spirit” interchangeably?

A: We can only put it down to ignorance.

The personal indwelling form of the holy Spirit is the Holy Ghost.

In heaven, the third person of the Godhead is called the Holy Ghost (1John 5:7), as it dwells within the Godhead, being in a ‘personal form with the Father and the Word.

Leaving the Godhead, the Holy Ghost becomes the Spirit that is holy or the Holy Spirit (Luke 11:13) and is generally referred to as “the holy Spirit” or the Spirit that is holy (Ephesians 4:30).

That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost WHICH DWELLETH IN US. (2 Timothy 1:14)

This is why before a person gets saved, it has to be the baptism of an external holy Spirit to puts us into Christ. When that happens, the holy Spirit changes its form and become the Holy Ghost that dwells in us.

When we were younger there was a cartoon on TV called Casper the friendly ghost, and it had the form and shape of a person. Similarly, when the holy Spirt comes and lives in a saved person, it takes on the form and shape, if you will, of that person.

The holy Spirit becomes the Holy Ghost within that person, and is the personal Spirit.  

Indeed, the Holy Ghost is called the Comforter (John 14:26), as it comforts from within that person and not from the outside.

As Rome is behind all words changes of the Authorized Bible, we ask ourselves why they would change the title of Holy Ghost to the Holy Spirit?

First of all, the Pope knows nothing whatsoever about the indwelling form of the holy Spirit called the Holy Ghost. Why? He is not saved.

You see, when we are baptised by one Spirit into the death of Christ (1Corinthians 12:13), God comes and lives in us in the form of the Holy Ghost (Romans 5:5; 1 Corinthians 6:19) and we are comforted.

The Holy Ghost gives us the assurance we have eternal salvation and never to be lost. Roman Catholics know nothing of this comfort and assurance.

Secondly, and here’s the real reason, if Rome can call into question, any words of the King James Bible, this creates great uncertainty as to where we can find the final written, infallible, perfect, inerrant and inspired words of God.

As such, Rome steps into this ‘gap’, and presents itself as the interpreter alone of the Bible.

We must always remember that the New King James Version is Rome’s glory for unsuspecting, indeed ignorant, Christians.

Now in particular, we look at the following:

Obviously, the King James Bible has the correct words, as the disciples would be able to lead people into a personal salvation with the Lord, by having the indwelling Holy Ghost, the personal Comforter, being God himself, in an internal and personal form.

The NKJV, Rome’s Bible, gives no-one any comfort at all, as God would not be able to come and indwell people, as it would only be the external Holy Spirit, that would be in operation.

Secondly, the NKJV, Rome’s Bible, eliminates the doctrine of eternal security with its choice of words. Yes, Rome calls anathema on those who would claim eternal and permanent salvation with an indwelling Holy Ghost that will never leave us or forsake us.

It is very curious, and totally wrong, when Pentecostal Christians, yes, Dear Reader, I’m talking about the saved ones, would reach their hands to the sky and say “Come Holy Spirit, you are welcome here to today” …. as if the Spirit is sitting in the ceiling rafters … when he dwells within them.

When you look at all the other cults … this is what they do … look longingly to the sky with arms uplifted like the Muslims, acting like empty vessels waiting to be filled.  

How about some bowing of heads in humility, grateful and thankful, that the Holy Ghost is the Comforter … already dwelling inside … with eternal security already theirs.

The only reason that ignorant Christians want that ‘full feeling’, is their flesh … which they will not do anything about … keeps getting in the way. Like a fat person wanting more MacDonalds.

If you love the Lord, he wants obedience (John 14:15, 23; 1 John 5:2-3) … not mindless and stupid hand-waving.
