“WHAT
IS THE MEANING
OF THE WORD
"SITH”
IN THE BIBLE?”
The
word “sith” … like the words “besom” and “haling” … is used
only once in the Bible as follows … therefore the meaning is to be found
in the con-text … that is … connected to the text.
“Because
thou
(Esau/Edom and associated confederates) hast had a PERPETUAL
hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of
the sword in the time of their calamity (their exodus out of Egypt to their
entrance into Canaan), in the time that their iniquity had an end:
Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood,
and blood shall pursue thee: SITH thou hast not hated blood,
even blood shall pursue thee.” (Ezekiel 35:5-6)
God
says to Esau and his associates “As you like blood so much … I’ll let you bathe
in your own” … from the beginning to the end … that is perpetual.
The
versions simply downgrade “perpetual” to “ancient”.
Dear
Reader, before we go into the explanation, re-read the above passage and see if
you can work out the definition of “sith”?
Here
it is … since/from the time you have not hated blood, blood shall persistently
seek to follow and chase you.
The
definition of the word “sith” cannot be found in any English Dictionary or the
NIV, NASB and NKJV.
However,
the definition of “sith” is found in the text … the context … as the King James
Bible has its own built-in Dictionary.
sith = since
+ with
“Sith”
is
a contraction of the to words “since” and “with”
God
is saying “since and with the passing of time, there
has been no let up of your hatred for Israel since the beginning
of Israel’s coming out of Egypt.
Furthermore
“It has been perpetual … not just ancient … which means “never ending
or changing” … a hatred that began with the inheritance
division between Esau and Jacob.”
Jacob
deceived Esau out of the real estate property in Isaac’s will … with the land
of Israel being given to Jacob the deceiving son.
You
see, you can’t find this in the NIV, NKJV, NASB … or ‘the greek’!
