When preaching on the
street, I stress that the Bible
has prophecy about two things …
1. “Where you will spend
eternity” … you can believe
on the Lord Jesus Christ or burn in hell
Question: “Do I choose
hell?” No. Simply don’t make
a decision to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ … and you automatically
go
there.
2. “What’s coming up in
the world” … no need
to worry … it’s all fixed up!
Yes Dear Reader … personal
prophecy and world
prophecy.
Personal prophecy is
everybody’s free will
decision for heaven … sitting on the fence will see you in hell.
Don’t worry for a
second Folks, future history
has already been laid out … and there’s not a thing you can do
about it!
“Done and dusted!” as they
say.
Don’t be concerned in the
slightest about trying to
bring in world peace … let’s leave that to Jesus, the Prince of
Peace
(Isaiah 9:6) when he comes back for his 1,000 reign after Armageddon.
The nations in the world
today are doing exactly
what God said they would do when God wrote it down in the Bible.
Yep! They’re all mentioned
in the Bible … Russia,
Ukraine, the Arabs, Israel, Europe, China … and so on … some go under a
different name though.
Yes, Dear Reader, world
peace will only come
after the Seven Year Tribulation … shortly about to happen …
when God’s
wrath will be poured out on the world … with his ambassadors
(Christians) being
called home prior … aka the Rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17,18)
Now regarding world
prophecy, there is the Old
Testament book of Ezekiel that makes things crystal clear … in
particular … chapters 35-36 and chapters 38-39 with the
‘dry
bones’ chapter 37 in between.
Ezekiel was a prophet of the second
Babylonian captivity of 597 BC … the first being in 606 BC, and
eleven
years before Jerusalem was destroyed with last captivity in 586 BC.
Prophets
were chosen of God, to tell the certain future before it
happened, with prophecy.
They would not
predict the future, as this would imply guesswork on the part of the
prophet.
God simply
used these messengers, to TELL what WOULD be happening.
No
guessing needed!
THE PROPHETS’
MISSION AND MESSAGE
1. To save the Hebrew
nation
from IDOLATRY and wickedness.
2. Failing this, to announce
to the
nation, that they will be destroyed.
3. But not completely
destroyed, as a remnant
(a few left) will be saved.
4. Out of this remnant will
come a Person
who will bring all nations to God.
5. That person will be the
Saviour who
will one day arise out of the family tree of David.
The prophets called him THE
BRANCH.
This family tree of David, once the most powerful family in
the
world, was cut down in the days of the prophets, and disappeared.
But the family would come
back with
this man called THE BRANCH - THE KING OF KINGS AND
LORD OF
LORDS (Rev 19:16)
The
Book of Ezekiel is divided into three sections
1.
The fall of Jerusalem … chapters 1-24
2.
The overthrow of surrounding heathen nations … chapters 25-32
3.
Israel re-established with a glorious future … chapters 33-48
In particular…
Chapter
35 The doom of Edom, Esau, the Arab nations
With
the people of Judah now carried away, Edom thought they could inhabit
the land
(Ezekiel 35:10; 36:2,5). But three years later the same fate fell on
Edom
Chapter
36 The land of Israel is to be re-inhabited
Now
desolate, the land will one day become like the garden of Eden (Ezekiel
36:35)
and peopled with a penitent Judah and Israel (Ezekiel 36:10, 31), and
God will
do this for his glory (Ezekiel 36: 22, 32).
Chapter
37 Vision of dry bones
This
foretells of the national resurrection of Israel with no more separate
tribes.
Chapter
38 God and the land of Magog
Russia
plus S.I.L.T. (Sudan, Iran, Libya, Turkey)
the
outer ring of Arab nations, will attack Israel in the first half of the
tribulation, led by Russia and Ukraine, coming directly out of the
North above
Israel (Ezekiel 38:15).
Chapter
39 Gog and the land of Magog
They
will all be turned back (Ezekiel 39:2), and Israel, indeed, all the
nations,
shall know that “I am the LORD”.
The
theme of the book of Ezekiel?
“Then they (Israel
and the world) shall know that I am the LORD” …
mentioned 62
