DEAR CHRISTIAN, WHEN YOU GOT SAVED, WERE YOU MADE
RIGHTEOUS OR DECLARED RIGHTEOUS?
And Dear Reader, this is the question that sends Roman
Catholics round the bend … gives them a knot in the gut … bonkers
in the
belfry … that is … they go looney, demented and deranged.
Their answer?
Frantically swallowing Jesus the wafer … anytime
they can get it into their gut.
You see Dear Reader, they are totally unaware of the
following words … legal, vicarious, judicial, extrinsic, alien,
forensic,
for us, passive, objective, imputed, declared, done, as if and
substitutionary.
These were the Reformation words that had Rome explode
in fury … and kill untold millions over the years.
These are the words that the Christian church must
be rediscovered by every generation.
St Paul’s doctrine of righteousness by faith alone, sola
fide, has suffered dreadful corrosion, attrition and decline in the
last
two hundred years.
But these words were the engine room for the
Reformation.
Roman Catholicism, Seventh Day Adventists, Jehovah
Witnesses, Mormons, Christadelphians and various other cults … lampoon … indeed mock and
ridicule … the doctrine of imputed righteousness as fiction.
Because of their opposition to sola fide, sola
scriptura, sola gratia … the catch cry of the Reformers … the above
cults
lampoon St Paul’s doctrine as a pasted-on “AS IF”.
Because all men are sinners by nature, the cults
believe getting right with God, cannot simply be a matter of putting on
a sheep
skin … like poor old Jacob in the Bible … fooling his father with his
presentation pretending to appear like Esau.
It is unthinkable that a man can get saved by an ALIEN
righteousness … that is Christ’s doing and dying … SUBSTITUTED
… FOR
US.
Furthermore, their abhorrence at the fact that
salvation is a PASSIVE work … done EXTRINSICALLY … OUTSIDE
of man … entirely apart from all human efforts and works … and IMPUTED
into our accounts.
In addition, it galls them that like a judge can DECLARE
a criminal not guilty … even though he is … this is called IMPUTATION.
Not to mention, because the law demands blood and a
death, that the same judge, can go to the gallows … as a SUBSTITUTE
for
the guilty …being a LEGAL, JUDICIAL and FORENSIC … a
declaring of
an outside righteousness … being an exchange and replacement for a
murderer.
Moreover, that with the stoke of his hammer, that the
same judge can declare “The Law has been satisfied … it is DONE
… the
matter has been finished.”
Ah! But then Dear Reader, these hard hearted cults …
swept away by their own righteousness and works to get saved and stay
saved,
show how little they know of God’s love that while they were yet
sinners … as
the following scripture says …
“But
God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,
Christ
died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
And Dear Reader, here’s the real crime … steeling and
resisting themselves against Christ’s righteousness, they bring untold
millions
under the cosh as well.
As the Bible so succinctly puts it …
“Woe
unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea
and land
to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold
more the
child of hell than yourselves.” (Matthew 23:15)
Question: “Dear Christian, when you got saved, were you made
righteous or declared righteous?”
Answer: “Declared righteous”
“Thank you Lord, you paid it all … hello heaven here I
come! Yahoo!”
