“THE
ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM …”
Part 4 of 4
THE
INCONVENIENT TRUTH of the
book of Matthew
SUMMARY:
KINGDOM
OF HEAVEN DOCTRINE
1.
Christ’s
sermon on the mount gave Israel an impossible set of rules to keep
(Matt
5-7).
2.
But
if they would continu-ously believe (believeth) that Christ was
continuously
(ongoing) fulfilling the law perfectly on their behalf + the
ongoing
sacrifice of animal blood for their remission of their past
sins,
they would go to Abraham’s bosom upon death, and then be taken to
heaven after
the cross.
KINGDOM
OF GOD DOCTRINE
1.
Now
today, we also have been given an impossible set of rules to
keep (Rom
3:23).
2.
However,
believing once only, that Christ perfectly fulfilled the law on
our
behalf + his once only sacrifice of his perfect blood
for the redemption
of sins, we are immediately and spiritually born straight into the
kingdom
of God, and upon death, or with the rapture, we are taken
physically into
heaven. However, Christians being in Christ, are already there in
heaven –
spiritually speaking.
The
following
Table shows:
1.
Entry into
heaven has
always been by sinless works
2.
Atonement
for sins,
remission or redemption, has always been by blood

Like
the Bible, all of Matthew is 100% correct history, and all
parts
can be used for devotional and spiritual purposes, however Matthew’s
gospel is not
God’s doctrine for the Christian.
What!?
But
isn’t the Book of Matthew in the New Testament? Yes
Isn’t
the Book of Matthew about Jesus Christ? Yes
Doesn’t
Matthew have the Lord’s prayer in it? Yes
Doesn’t
Matthew teach us how to live the right way as Christians? No. Paul
does in
Romans to Philemon!
The
kingdom of God’s commandments with Paul are different from the Sermon
on the
Mount rules.
Doesn’t
Matthew have The Sermon on the Mount in it? Yes
Doesn’t
Matthew show us how to be like, and follow, Jesus? It does, but we
follow
Paul as he follows Christ!
Answer:
As
stated, all of the gospel of Matthew may have spiritual parallels for
the
Christian, but it’s not God’s instructions and doctrine for the
Christian
or the unsaved, as these are to be found in Paul’s writings to
the
churches, Timothy and Titus.
