It’s called the spirit of the age … where black is white; a falling away is the rapture (2Thessalonians 2:3); women and children rule (Isaiah 3:12); good is evil and evil is good (Jeremiah 4:22); and hard replaces easy.

Furthermore, Calvinism …. where God selects you for salvation …. replaces your free will, and loss of salvation replaces eternal security …. up is down and backwards is forwards.

Could it be that man is a perverse, cantankerous and irascible (look them up) creature … showing deliberate, obstinate and stubborn desires to behave in a way that defies reason?

I do believe the Bible calls it flesh and the carnal mind (1Corinthians 1:26-29; Romans 8:5-9).

And I guess it’s like salvation … it’s too simple and easy for most! I mean … it has to be harder than “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ” (Acts 16:31) … doesn’t it?

Even when Christ was on earth, the kingdom of heaven message was easy to understand for Israel, and indeed all the people’s of the earth, as Christ said …

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

And do you know what Dear Reader … so are Christ’s words of The King James Bible … easy, understandable and light.
