THE OLD SCOTTISH SAYING …
“DREE THEIR
ANE WEIRD”
aka “endure their own word”
Not
a few medical doctors would ascribe to the premise that they can ‘cure’
a lot
of things … but they can’t cure people.
What
they mean by that, is that patients keep taking matters into their own
hands, get
in the way and disobey the doctor’s word and warnings, in
getting them
on the right path to good health.
Instead
of following the doctor’s words, they endure their own words
and advice
by being perverse, obstinate and stubborn … that is they take the
consequences
of their own advice.
Now
it might seem unbelievable, that many patients … for the purposes of self-dramatization
and the urge to evoke sympathy, make, as it were, a hobby of
ill-health.
And
although they enjoy the attention of their doctors, they would be very
disappointed if one or the other cured their complaints.
Now
how does this all apply to churches?
Good
question.
It’s
a lay-down misère that God can … 100% … cure all churches, faiths and
religions
… no matter what their clime … if they would only follow and obey his
words.
And
where will they find his words?
Simples
… it’s called the King James Bible.
But
just about all crash off the highway … ignoring the Great
Physician … by
following their own words and advice.
They
hardly ever find their healing from sin, sound doctrine and the
holiness walk
they seek.
Why?
They write their own Bibles (NIV, NASB, NJKV) that contains
their own
words, their own interpretation and own constitutions (2 Peter 1:21).
This
means they are doomed to endure their own word … thereby
suffering awful
consequences that lead to perdition … and in many cases … the fires of
hell.
Opposing
God’s perfect, infallible, perfect and inspired words of the English
King James
Bible, they refuse to be healed … and with various displays of
self-dramatization and the evokings of sympathy … endlessly
‘wearing’ out
God Almighty with prayers of unbelief.
Instead
of following the sound doctrine of Paul as he follows Christ (1 Corinthians 11:1), God has no alternative but to let people “dree their
ane weird”
… and it
gets weird alright.
