“P.S. … MORE ONE LINERS
TO REFUTE THE FOGASS”
 Part 8 of 8

Dear Reader, keep in mind who the FOGASS are … the fumbling, blind sprouters of ‘Formal Equivalence’ (although settled in the 1611 King James Bible), the mystical ‘Originals’ that no-one has seen, ‘the Greek’ for those who cannot, indeed will not, understand the English … whereby culminating in the blasphemous Additions, Subtractions and Substitutions of words and phrases eg no “begotten”, no “hell”, no “Easter
(Acts 12:4)
” … and the shameful list goes on and on and on …

Question: “What about all the revisions of the King James Bible … haven’t there been several since 1611?”

Answer: “No. There has only ever been one Bible but no revisions … there have been several editions though … that correct the typos, spelling and fonts. Trying to be smart and clever, the question often is “Which Bible do you use … the 1611, the 1629 or the 1769?”

Question: Aren’t there old fashioned words in the King James Bible? Surely we need to update the Bible in getting rid of these out of date words?

Answer: No, in fact, just the opposite. These are not old fashioned words but Bible words that convey special meaning. We must remember also that the King James Bible is a legal document with highly specific terms.

No one would try to update Gray’s Anatomy textbook for Medical students would they … with common language terms?

In addition, the word ‘coulter’, mentioned once in the King James Bible, is a modern day term for an agricultural tool. How up to date is that?”

In addition we have the following …

"Musick" is in the Cambridge King James Bible. "Music" Get it? Today's "music" will make you "sick" not "sic". The modern KJB's hide the meaning the word.
(Dan 3:5 for example).

“Haling" is not just "hauling", but it means "hauling with violence"
(Acts 8:3).

“Besom" is broom, but it is a broom that "sweeps with destruction". These words not archaic words. These are actual Bible words that mean something - not just their watered down replacements.
(Isaiah 14:23)

Question: Was King James a homosexual?

Answer: “No. This was a term that came about from a disgruntled office bearer in King James’ court who was overlooked for promotion. This accusation, by the way, only came after King James had been dead for 25 years. This office bearer would not have dared before then.”

Question: Hasn’t the word ‘Easter’ (Acts 12:4) been mistranslated? As the word is ‘pascha’ shouldn’t the translation be ‘passover’?”

Answer: “No. The word ‘pascha’ means a ‘passing over’, and in this case it was the Roman change of season, the passing over, that is, the time of Easter, from Winter to Spring, and it came after the Jewish Passover. The correct translation IS ‘Easter’.

Do some study … it was the days of unleavened bread … Passover had already come and gone … that’s unless Herod was going to wait another year, before bringing out Peter at the next Passover which would have been in twelve months time.

Question: If the Bible has come to us from the ‘originals’, shouldn’t we elevate them  more… and be more loyal to them … than the King James Bible?”

Answer: “If God has wanted us to have the Bible in Greek, he would have let Greece rule the world … but he didn’t … it was England. Furthermore, if God has wanted us to view the originals he would have preserved them.
