ANSWER: “HE CUTS AND POLISHES DIAMONDS”

EXPLANATION:

Many years ago one of the world’s most magnificent rough diamonds was found in a diamond mine in Africa. It was given to the King of England as a present to put in his crown.

But before that could happen, it had to be cut and polished … being as it were in its rough state. As the best diamond cutters are to be found in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, it was sent there.
Before a diamond cutter works, he must study and evaluate the stone for flaws and also it’s carat weight. This process can take many months before he even puts a chisel, or machine, on the stone.

Drawings and models are made of the gem with its lines of cleavage studied with the minutest care.

Now, the best lapidarist in the world took this priceless African gem, cut a small notch in it, and struck a hard blow … and the gem was split in two. An ordinary observer would say that this was a reckless, wasteful and criminal act to destroy such a stone!

WAS IT A MISTAKE?
No. Using the highest form of skill he had, when he struck the blow, it brought that gem to its most perfect shape, brilliance and jewelled magnificence.

The blow did the opposite from destroying the precious gem, to redeem it and display its brilliant radiance. The rough and uncut stone had become two magnificent gems that only the expert diamond cutter could see in its previous form.

GOD IS THE EXPERT DIAMOND CUTTER
Sometimes, God lets a stinging and hard blow fall into your life. The blood spurts. The nerves twitch and cringe. Your soul cries out in absolute agony … you are being ‘split in two’!

God what have you done? What are you doing? This is not the best way to treat me! Why have you let this happen to me?

God’s dealings with you seem to be totally opposite to our common sense. They seem to be dreadful mistakes. But they are not. God, as the infinitely skilled lapidarist, is taking you in your rough state, and against your will, to turn you into a most priceless jewel. You must fit into his crown … and not the other way around. He knows how to deal with you.

Be rest assured, not a blow from God is random or without reason. Being in his hand, he will lay blow after blow if necessary to get your attention. Out of his depths of love for you, he will conform you to the image of his son.

 As the best diamond cutter, God knows better than ourselves our flaws, lines of sin and where to strike a blow. This may be a series of little blows, and or, and in combination with, one big blow.
