Q: “DID JESUS TELL CHRISTIANS
TO BE WATER BAPTISED?”
A: “NO” HE WAS TALKING TO
HIS DISCIPLES”

Q: “But hang on … aren’t Christians meant to be the disciples of Jesus?”

A: “No.”

Q: “Who are they then?”

A: “Christians are to follow Paul as he follows Christ.

Q: “Are Christians disciples of Paul then?”

A:Nowhere does Paul say that Christians are to be disciples of him … simply to be followers of him as he follows Christ.” (1 Corinthians 11:1).

Q: “But that goes against everything that I believe … I always thought that I followed Jesus as his disciple?”

A: “Well think again … you see, if you were a disciple of Jesus, you would be a Saturday worshipping, temple attending, pork abstaining Jew … and still sacrificing animals for the remission of sins past (Romans 3:25)

Q: “I can’t get my head around this … it goes against everything that I was brought up to believe.”

A: “Yes I’m sure it’s very upsetting for you … but put it this way … let’s all be guided what the scriptures say … not what we believe … or what our churches teach us.”

Q: “But aren’t we under the Great Commission?

A: “No. Christians simply have the ministry of reconciliation as follows …

“And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;” (2 Corinthians 5:18).

Q: “Then are all the churches wrong to teach we are under the Great Commission?”

A: Of course, because if you were, you would be able to...

“… cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
(Mark 16:17-18)

… that is … AFTER YOU HAVE BEEN WATER BAPTIZED!

“Dear Reader, if you think you are a disciple of Jesus Christ and under the Great Commission, read Mark 16:16 and see that if you have believed the Christ has risen from the dead, and have gotten water baptised, then you will be able to do all sorts of amazing miracles. Go on have a read.”

Silence …. ….. ….. (crickets chirping in the background)

“Well have you been able to do all these wonderful things? No of course you haven’t.”

Q: “But didn’t Jesus say to go and preach the gospel?”

A: “Of course he did … but it was the gospel of the kingdom of heaven given to his unbelieving disciples … NOT the gospel of the kingdom of God to believers of today.

The Mark 16:9-20 dispensation has now passed.

More silence … …. … … … … (still more crickets chirping)

Dear Reader, the Mark passage is presented in full below … do have a STUDY … and see that Christ was talking to his unbelieving disciples Mark 16:14  Mark 9:18-19  kingdom of heaven dispensation not present day Christians under the kingdom of God.

Mark 16:9-20
9 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
10 And she went and told them
(the disciples) that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.
11 And they, when they
(the disciples) had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not.
12 After that he appeared in another form unto two of them
(the disciples), as they walked, and went into the country.
13 And they went and told it unto the residue
(the disciples): neither believed they them (the disciples).
14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven
(the disciples) as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they (the disciples) believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.
15 And he said unto them
(the disciples), Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel (of the kingdom of heaven) to every creature.
16 He
(the disciples) that believeth and is BAPTIZED shall be saved; but he (the disciples) that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And THESE SIGNS SHALL FOLLOW THEM
(THE DISCIPLES) THAT BELIEVE; In my name shall they (the disciples) cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they
(the disciples) shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them
(the disciples), he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20 And they
(the disciples) went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them (the disciples), and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

CONCLUSION:

Yes Dear Reader, if you still think you are under the Great Commission, go ahead and knock yourself out … start drinking poison, handling snakes and casting out devils … and see how you get on.

OR

you can sober up … screw your head back on … give yourself an uppercut … have a Bex and a nice hot cup of tea … have a good lie down … then get up and begin to discern the dispensations by rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).

As has been stated …

“The only water to be found in Christian churches should be in …

1. The kitchen taps … for drinking and making cups of tea and coffee

2. The toilets … for flushing

3. The flower vases … for flowers

4. The garden … for watering plants.
