Dear
Reader, imagine a dictator ordering
your legs to be chopped off, and then commanding you to run a
marathon …
with the penalty for failure being death?
But the Doctrines
Of Grace-istS
… DOGS … (formerly
Calvinists now hiding in dark caves hoping
their name
change will continue to fool people) would think that the actions of
that
dictator would be a loving thing he could do.
Their God
does the same thing … the
Calvinists’ God would stop a man from repentance and believing
on the
Lord Jesus Christ … but then condemn him for not repenting and
believing.
It would a
cruel God in the extreme, to have
a man not willing to do what God has made him unable to do.
Dear
Reader, at the outset, nowhere in
the Bible does Total Depravity appear.
The Canons
of Dort state “Therefore
all men … without the regenerating grace of the Holy Spirit … are
neither able
not willing to return to God … nor to dispose themselves to
reformation.”
This is
simply human opinion/speculation/surmise/guess
… and not found in the Bible.
Having
determined that depravity equals
inability, Unconditional Election and Irresistible Grace become a
necessity
for the Calvinist.
Hence a
Calvinist has to resort to having some
sort of a ‘regeneration’ that precedes belief.
However, NOWHERE
in scripture is there
even a hint that a man must be regenerated before can believe and be
saved by
faith in Christ.
The very
foundation of Calvinism is exactly this
… depravity equals inability … upon which the U.L.I.P.
precariously
balances.
Now Paul
at Mars Hill said that God
commandeth ALL men everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30) … but if
God won’t
let them, how is that fair?
The man in
the pub would
say, “A God
that commands men to do what they cannot do without his grace … but God
doesn’t
supply that grace they need to repent, and then everlastingly punishes
them in
the flames of hell for failing to obey him … is not a God of
love.”
But
Calvin, ignoring the scriptures, believed
his mentor and guru, the Roman Catholic Augustine,
who blatantly
changed
the meaning of the Bible’s dead in trespasses and sins, into the
blasphemous
doctrine of total depravity.
So here’s
the problem for Calvinists … they
deny God’s infinite love is for ALL men.
The
Calvinist use two verses to
wrongly show total depravity equals total inability:
”And GOD
saw that the
wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of
the
thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” (Genesis 6:5)
“There
is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh
after
God.” (Romans 3:11)
But the
word ‘continually’ does not
mean ‘continuously’; the continuous ‘understandeth’ does not
mean an episodic ‘understand’; and the continuous ‘seeketh’ does
not
mean an episodic ‘seek’.
Men who
are dead in trespasses and sins, have
the ability from time to time, to seek and understand … which
is the
meaning of continually.
Furthermore,
Calvin confuses and contradicts
himself in that he saw that a totally depraved man naturally loves
truth but
not enough!
Calvin
said “… the human mind, however much
fallen and perverted from its original integrity, is still adorned and
invested
with admiral gifts from its creator.”
Calvin
himself said that man is not so
totally depraved that he cannot receive truth from God … but he just
doesn’t
get enough truth because God withholds it.
Wow! Talk
about twisted reasoning!
Without
any support from scripture, Calvin
promotes the concept of “varying degrees”.
He asserts
that most men do not receive
enough grace to be classed as the elect.
In other
words, Calvin sees an unregenerate
man as blind but not totally blind.
Fumbling
for an answer, Calvin further
muddies the water by asserting that man receives truth from God but not
enough
… because God withholds it!
As stated
at the start of this article, it’s
like chopping a man’s legs off and condemning him because he cannot run!
Dear
Reader, here’s the thing … not having the
Pauline salvation of death in Christ … Peter must have been a totally
depraved
man according to the Calvinist.
For how
then does Peter have the revelation
of Jesus Christ before he was regenerated?
The
conclusion can only be that either an
infinite God is a two-faced liar by showing limited love and limited
grace
or
Calvinism
is off it’s rocker … a
fraud … a
hoax … a fake.
As the
