“SEPARATING GOD’S WORD

FROM GOD’S SPIRIT”

Christian churches are in the greatest of danger, when separating God from his written words … that is … divorcing God’s Spirit from his written word.

Dear Reader, at the outset, there is a difference between the word and the Word … and it comes as a absolute shock to Christians, that those without the word (the scriptures) do not love the Word (Lord Jesus Christ) … as Christ said …

“…if a man love me, he will keep my words …”

(John 14:23)

Many Christians profess to love Jesus but do not love his written word.

Looking in the wrong direction, believers gaze into heaven for the Spirit, instead of looking down into the word.

And as we have stated many times … there is only one word … the King James Bible.

The rest of the proxy pretenders … ESV, NLT, NIV etc … are simply publications out of Rome.

The emphasis today is about the impartation of the Spirit into the believer … you know … raising of the hands heavenward, songs about the Holy Spirit, and much gazing of the eyes upward … has only led to serious injury in Christian churches.

Without reference to the written word, many are the accounts of exciting experiences with the Holy Spirit given directly to the believer … without the objective and forensic exposition of God’s word … the King James Bible.

If the Bible is referred to in many services, it is relegated to the least spectacular part of the meeting … with many checking their latest texts on their phones, having bathroom breaks or gazing around the room, indeed, correcting their children.

As Luther once stated, that sitting around in a corner and waiting for the Holy Spirit, can only result in the acquisition of a hundred thousand devils … as people will not come to God … through his written word.

In essence, there is no holiness walk for those who neglect the written word.

It’s like the story of three blind men having never encountered an elephant. They come across one and each touch a different part of it to describe what it is like. One touches the side and thinks it is a wall. The second blind man touches the tusk and thinks it’s a spear. The third feels the trunk and is sure it’s a snake.

And so Dear Reader, we have a blind church-goer advocating “four steps” to receiving the Holy Spirit … another urging how to talk in “tongues” … while another pushing water baptism … with another urging others to do something to manipulate their minds and emotions … to obtain some sort of spiritual euphoria called the baptism in the Spirit … like soaking in a bathtub.

As Paul categorically states, “… that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;” (1 Timothy 4:1-2)

The only means that a Christian will have of a holiness walk, is through the word … if not … he is like a hot air balloon soaring into the ether … having been loosed from its earthly moorings of the written word.

A Christian without the moorings of the King James Bible is exactly that … a gas filled balloon not able to “… quench all the firey darts of the wicked.” (Ephesian 6:16)

Dear Reader, let me leave you with several scriptures …

“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” (John 17:17)

“And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.” (Acts 20:32)

“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,” (Ephesians 5:25-26)

“Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.” (John 15:3)

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:” (1 Peter 2:2)

The word of God is the only doorway that leads to being filled with the Spirit of God.
