“ARE THERE
TWO GODS, TWO SAVIOURS
AND TWO LORDS?”
Comparing
spiritual with spiritual (1 Corinthians 2:13), let us reason together
(Isaiah
1:18)
1. Now the
accepted fact by ALL (Muslims included) … there is only one
God.
The Bible
says “Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD
of
hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no
God.”
(Isaiah 44:6)
Furthermore,
there is only one Saviour as follows …
I, even I,
am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. Isaiah
43:11
… and all
beautifully summed up with … “… who hath declared this from ancient
time? who
hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no
God else
beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is
none beside
me.” (Isaiah 45:21)
2. But
with
the following we seem to have two Gods?
In the
Bible, God the Father talks to God the Son … addressing him as God!
“Thou
hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even
thy God,
hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.”
(Hebrews 1:9)
“But unto
the Son he (God the
Father) saith, Thy throne, O God, is
for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy
kingdom.” (Hebrews
1:8)
3. And
with
the following we seem to have two Lords?
In the
Bible
we have “… The LORD (Jehovah) said
unto my Lord (Jesus Christ),
Sit thou on my right hand,” (Acts 2:34)
… and
again
…
“… And
David
himself saith in the book of Psalms, The LORD (Jehovah) said
unto my Lord
(Jesus Christ), Sit thou on my right hand,” (Luke 20:41-42)
4. Furthermore
Jesus Christ calls
himself God JEHOVAH … the first and the last with …
“Thus
saith
the LORD (Jehovah) the
King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD (Jehovah)
of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside
me there
is no God.” (Isaiah 44:6)
“And when
I
saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. … Fear not; I am the
first and
the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and,
behold, I
am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of
death.” (Revelation
1:17-18) … WHEN DID
GOD EVER DIE?
Conclusion:
Are
there
two Saviours, two Lords, two Gods, two firsts and lasts? NO … just
two
different dispensations with two different manifestations of God. Jesus is God manifest in the flesh with all
the fulness thereof (1 Timothy 3:16 Colossians 2:9; 1:19).
