QUESTION: “IS BELIEVING ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST THE ONLY WAY TO GET TO HEAVEN?”

ANSWER: “NO! THERE IS ANOTHER WAY!”

(Part 1 of 2)

Q: Wow! OK! I’m listening!
Man, I mean it’s so restrictive, narrow and anti-intellectual … all this God business! All my friends and I agree that we’re done with religion. After all, we are becoming so much more enlightened in this day and age.
A: Yes … it’s called fulfilling the Ten Commandments
Q: Look! I admit I’m not perfect … I mean who is?
I try my best … slip up occasionally … who doesn’t?
A: No, you’re not listening!
Fulfilling the Ten Commandments is 100% pass mark on the ten laws. One fail … all fail!
The Bible says “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” (James 2:10). It’s like cricket … one out all out!
Q: That’s bit harsh isn’t it?
A: No Dear Friend, it’s simply the nature of God … 100% purity, holy and righteousness!
Q: Yes, but that was for the Jews!
That was over 3,400 years ago, this is the 21^st Century!
A: God didn’t give Israel the ten Commandments to save them, but to curse them … to show them they were sinners.
But to make up for past sins, God allowed them to shed the blood of lambs, bulls and goats to pay the penalty for their past sins. As the Bible says “…without the shedding of blood there is no remission (of sins)” (Heb 9:22) … and God is the same yesterday, today and forever (Heb 13:8) … he never changes.
Q: Well, if that’s the case then …
I’ll just go and get some animal and kill it for the blood for my past sins.
A: No can do my friend, that time has past …
That’s why God manifested as a man (1 Tim 3:16) and became the perfect lamb that not only your past sins are now forgiven and paid for, but your future ones as well (Rev 1:5)
Q: But surely I’m not supposed to keep the Sabbath … you know Saturday?
A: Of course you are! But don’t worry about that … you’re guilty on the other nine. Christians worship on Sunday as Christ rose on that day. New beginning and new start.
Q: But as God rested on the 7^th day, why shouldn’t we?
A: Of course he did … and you can too after a life of six days doing perfect works.
Q: Well … so what? Near enough is good enough!
A: No, you haven’t been listening my friend
Your goodness, sinlessness and perfection must equal that of Jesus Christ … 100% obedience to God’s Ten Commandments … or you will burn in hell. Christ says “ … how CAN ye escape the damnation of hell” (Matt 23:33). He does not say “How WILL you escape?” … there’s a world of difference.
