How do we know that?
Because the Bible says so as follows:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” (John 1:1-3).

Who is the Word?
In heaven, Jesus is called the Word and he is God.
“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” (1 John 5:7)

The Word is made flesh
The Word becomes a man in Jesus Christ as we have …
“And the Word (Jesus in heaven) was made flesh (Jesus becomes a man), and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14)

and

“… God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” (1Timothy 3:16)

Furthermore, it is stated …
“For by him (Jesus Christ) were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created BY him (Jesus Christ), and for him: And he is before all things, and by him (Jesus Christ) all things consist.” (Colossians 1:16-17)

Yes Dear Reader, it was a ‘hands-on’ creation by Jesus as he did the actual work himself … if not, the Bible would have said through him. All the other false Bible versions say ‘through him’. ‘Through him’ promotes the heresy, that a succession of angels did the creating, with Jesus merely directing the angels.

Of course, this subtracts from the Jesus Christ and what he did, and thereby Satan depreciates, belittles and dismisses Christ’s importance of who he was, is and is to come. This is called the Colossian heresy aka Gnosticism aka ‘deep and secret’, but false and heretical knowledge as outlined in the New Testament Book of Colossians (Colossians 2:18).

It’s like a Dad at the beach with his son and they build a sand castle. If Dad gets the son to build it, it is built through Dad, but if Dad does the actual getting of the sand in a bucket, and piling it up and then shaping it, we say the sand castle was built by Dad.

But doesn’t the Bible say that God created the heavens and the earth?
Correct … and this absolutely proves that Jesus is God, and Jesus, in the beginning, created the heavens and the earth.

God talks to himself
We must remember that God is talking amongst himself made up of the three persons. The Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost are talking to themselves, stating they will create man as follows:

“And God said, Let US make man in our image, after our likeness: …” (Genesis 1:26)

It reminds us of that amusing story of a certain man, who, when accused of talking to himself, replied “Sometimes I like to talk to an intelligent man, and other times, I like to hear an intelligent man talk.”

But isn’t God talking the angels when he says “us”?
No … as this was before any angels were created. Angels were created after man (Genesis 1:27) as follows:

“Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.” (Genesis 2:1).

Yes Dear Reader, it a popular but false myth that in the beginning there was God and the angels before God created the heavens and the earth.

How could this be?
As angels are created beings, and the first things that were created were the heavens and the earth, the angels had to be created after that. Amen?

Furthermore, the host includes the stars, the moon, the planets and the angels … yes, angels are called the host of heaven (Luke 2:13).

Didn’t God’s Spirit help in the creation?
No. This is another blasphemous myth, promoted by well-meaning but ignorant Christians, that the Spirit of God helped in the creation as “… the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” (Genesis 1:2).

The word ‘moved’ does not mean created … it was simply that God’s Spirit was present.

The creation was done by Jesus and he didn’t need any help from the Spirit.

God, being the three persons of the Godhead, stated the job of creation was given to Jesus Christ to actually/’hands-on’ do everything … as he did with creating the heavens and the earth. The following scripture states

“God (the father)… Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son (God the Son), … by whom also he made the worlds;” (Hebrews 1:1-2)

Further proof that God talks to himself
, that is, God the Father talks to God the Son Jesus Christ, is given in another place in the Bible as follows:

“But unto the Son (Jesus) he (God) saith, Thy throne, O God (Jesus), is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God (Jesus), even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.” (Hebrews 1:8-9)

Guess who said the following?
“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” (Genesis 1:3).

Correct … it’s Jesus Christ. The three persons of the Godhead (Romans 1:20; Colossians 2:9) in heaven all state the job of creation be given to Jesus.

Furthermore, as Jesus Christ is the Light (John 1:6-9), it is amazingly appropriate, that the first thing he says is “Let there be light.” (Genesis 1:3).
