Answer: THEY ARE WEAK IN THEIR FAITH
TOWARD GOD!
They can’t or won’t believe
God could give us his perfect, infallible, inerrant and inspired
scriptures …
that is the King James Bible.
That is they do not have
enough faith in God (Genesis 18:14).
Now an example of can’t
and
won’t is as follows …
A man who ‘can’t’ or ‘won’t’ be a
Christian husband and father, produces the same end result … that is …
if he
doesn’t know how, or by choice he won’t, his family still suffers … and
ends up
breaking apart.
The following are more scriptures
on faith …
“But without faith it is impossible to please him:
for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a
rewarder
of them that diligently seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6)
Indeed as Paul addresses the
Hebrews, they “…are become such as have need of milk, and not
of
strong meat.” (Hebrews 5:12).
Paul goes on …
“For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word
of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to
them that
are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their
senses
exercised to discern both good and evil.” (Hebrews 5:13-14)
“I have fed you with milk, and not with meat:
for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.” (1 Corinthians 3:2)
What are the characteristics of ‘the originals believers’ according
to the above?
1. They do not please God
2. They are not diligent in the things of the Lord
3. They miss out on rewards form God
4. They cannot eat meat
5. They cannot bear strong meat
6. They need milk
7. Unskilful with God’s words
8. They are underage … that is they have not grown up
9. They cannot discern between good and evil ….. ENOUGH
SAID?
Furthermore …
10. They oppose themselves and are double minded (2 Timothy 2:25; James 1:8)
As
Paul would say …
“Now I beseech
you,
brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the
same
thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that
ye be perfectly
joined together in the same mind and in the same
judgment.:
(1 Corinthians 1:10)
Dear Reader how
should we
handle those of weaker faith?
“In meekness
instructing
those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them
repentance
to the acknowledging of the truth;” (2 Timothy 2:25)
