“GOD TALKS TO GOD”
“I’M
CONFUSED … who is God, the Son of God, the Son
of man, JEHOVAH, the LORD, the Lord, God Almighty, the first and the
last, the
Lord God Almighty, the LORD of hosts, The mighty God, the Word, the
LORD God
Almighty, the mighty One of Israel, the LORD God, The everlasting Father, The
Prince of Peace, the LORD JEHOVAH, God the Father, the LORD
Almighty, the Lord Almighty, the Alpha and Omega … and so on?”
Who are
all these persons?
We laugh
about the reply from a man accused of talking to himself who
said “Sometimes I like to talk to a smart man, but then sometimes … I
like to
hear a smart man talk.” You know, one man with two persons inside.
And God
likes to talk to himself … you know … one Godhead with three
persons (1 John 5:7-8; Hebrews 1:3) as in the following where God talks
to
Jesus Christ, calling him the Son and God and Lord
at
the same time.
“But
unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and
ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou (Jesus
Christ) hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore
God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness
above thy
fellows. And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the
foundation of
the earth; (Genesis 1:1; Colossians 1:16-17) and the heavens
are the
works of thine hands
NOTE:
Now we
know the Bible meaning of the word “son” is about the origin
and not the end product. When Christ calls himself “the Son of God”
(John
10:36) he refers to the fact that as God is a Spirit (John 4:24) he
also was a
Spirit in the Godhead in heaven (Romans 1:20; Colossians 2:9) but was
then
manifest (1 Timothy 3:16) as a physical man.” (Hebrews 1:8-10)
Now Dear
Reader, with tray tables up and seats in the upright position …
let us do some study (2Timothy 2:15) as we piece together all the
evidence with
various verses from the scriptures … and yes folks … it must be done
with the
King James Bible.
Now we
have the LORD Jehovah (Isaiah 12:2) talking to the Lord
Jesus Christ (Acts 16:31) with the following Old Testament verse …
“The
LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I
make thine enemies thy footstool.” (Psalm 110:1-7)
In
addition, we have the LORD being Almighty God (Genesis
17:1) and Jesus Christ being the Lord Almighty
“And will
be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters,
saith the Lord Almighty.” (2 Corinthians 6:18)
And that’s
not all, in the Old Testament, The LORD God JEHOVAH
is God Almighty and is as follows:
“And I
appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of
God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to
them.” (Exodus
6:3)
Furthermore
we have God, called the LORD God, creating the
heavens and the earth as follows:
“These are
the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they
were created, in the day that the LORD God made
the earth
and the heavens,” (Genesis 2:4; 1:1)
And adding
to this we have
“Therefore
saith the Lord,
the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will
ease me
of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies:” (Isaiah 1:24)
Finally we
have
“The
LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I
make thine enemies thy footstool (Revelation
chapter 19) The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out
of Zion:
rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. The LORD hath sworn,
and will
not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of
Melchizedek. The
Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of
his
wrath (Revelation chapter 19). He shall judge among the
heathen, he
shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads
over many
countries. (Revelation chapter 19) He shall drink of the brook
in the
way: therefore shall he lift up the head.” (Psalm 110:1-2, 7)
Who is
God, the Son of God, the Son of man, JEHOVAH, the LORD, the Lord,
God Almighty, the Lord Jesus Christ, the first and the last, the Lord
God
Almighty, the LORD of hosts, the Christ, the Word, the LORD God
Almighty, the
mighty One of Israel, the LORD God, the LORD JEHOVAH, the LORD
Almighty, the
Lord Almighty, the Alpha and Omega … and so on?”
The
following might give you a clue if you can’t work your way through
the above:
“For unto
us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and
the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called
Wonderful,
Counsellor, The mighty God, The
everlasting
Father, The Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)
Still
confused? Just relax Dear Reader, they are all one and the same …
… and his
name is The Lord Jesus Christ … the manifested LORD
God JEHOVAH of the Old Testament.
And that
folks, is the writ.
