The Topics
1.
Adoption
Adoption
occurs when a family take a child who has
other parents, and treat it one of their own.
Now
God puts you into his family as one of his own
– just like an adopted child, THROUGH CHRIST. The Jew has been
temporarily put aside that we might be adopted and have God the Father
as our
own.
But
when the fulness of the time was come, GOD
SENT FORTH HIS SON, made of a woman, made under the law, To REDEEM
them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of
sons.
And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into
your
hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a
servant,
but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God THROUGH CHRIST.
Gal
4:4-7
2.
Adultery Back
To Headings
This
is the violation of the bed of the husband and
wife. This is sexual intercourse between a husband and a woman who is
not his
wife or sexual intercourse between a wife and a man who is not her
husband. Now
all adultery is fornication but not all fornication is adultery.
Fornication
is any sexual intercourse before
becoming a husband or a wife. Adultery is one of the works of the flesh
(Gal
5:19).
Israel
was guilty of spiritual adultery as she went
after other gods.
And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce … Jer 3:8
3. Agnostic Back To Headings
This is a man who is not sure whether there is a God or not. His basic stance is “What is truth? And who can know it? Let us keep an open mind.” This contradicts Jesus Christ who said … I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6
4.
Amillenialism Back
To Headings
This
is the wrong belief that there will be no
one thousand year reign of Christ on earth after the battle of
Armageddon. This
contradicts And I saw an angel come down from heaven, …
and
bound him a thousand years, … till the thousand
years
should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
… they lived
and reigned with Christ a thousand years. …
until the thousand
years were finished. … … shall reign with him a thousand
years. And when the thousand years are expired. Rev
20:1-7
5.
Annhiliation Back
To Headings
This
is the wrong belief that when you are dead
that’s the finish, that is, there is no after life of any
description.
That means they believe there is no literal hell
and lake
of fire for unrepentant sinners who die. This wrong belief says
that there
is no eternal place of torment for the unsaved after
death.
This
contradicts the words of the Lord Jesus Christ
who said … Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire,
prepared
for the devil and his angels: Matt
25:41
…
the rich man also died, and was buried; And in
hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, … Lk
16:22-23
…
than having two hands to go into hell, into the
fire that never shall be quenched: Mk
9:43
Furthermore, …it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Heb 9:27
6.
Apostasy Back
To Headings
This
means to fall away. Churches get
into apostasy by 1. Not believing the King James Bible 2.
Not
following Paul as he follows Christ 3. Resorting to the Greek
and Hebrew
4. Adding, subtracting, omitting and substituting words, phrases
and
sentences from God’s pure, inspired, inerrant and infallible words of
the
Authorized Bible. This condition particularly applies to the Christian
church
in the last hundred years and more since the publication of Westcott
and Hort’s
‘bible’ of 1891. Let no man deceive you by any means: for
that day
shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and
that man of
sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 2Thess2:3.
The
very
nature of apostasy thrives and exists on deception.
7.
Armageddon Back
To Headings
This
is an actual place on earth, also called
Megiddo, to which Christ returns, not as the Saviour, but
fierce judge
and ruler of the world and the earth ( Rev 19), to rescue Israel and
destroy
all the world’s armies including the kings of the East (Rev
16:12).
This happens at the end of the seven year tribulation. His eyes
were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he
had a
name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with
a
vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the
armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed
in fine
linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword,
that
with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them
with a
rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness
and wrath
of Almighty God. Rev
19:12-15
8.
Atheism Back
To Headings
An
atheist says there is no God. They believe in
evolution, no hell, no heaven, no sin, no Satan and so on. When they
die, their
terror is unimaginable as they end up in hell - a place they thought
never
existed and cast down there by God who never was. The word “God”
appears over
4444 times in the King James Bible. They can’t say they were never
warned. The
Bible says The fool hath said in his heart, There
is
no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is
none
that doeth good… Psalm
14:1
9.
Baptism Back
To Headings
To
be baptised is to be immersed in water. Baptism
is an act that symbolizes a washing away, and signifies a
death,
a break or a division - a leaving something & going onto something
else.
1.
For example the Jews after leaving Egypt. Moreover,
brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our
fathers were
under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; And were all
baptized unto
Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
2.
Christ was baptised but not relating to
sin, but showing that there was a new priesthood instead of
Aaron
And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the
water: and,
lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God
descending
like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying,
This is
my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Matthew
3:16-17
3.
When a person gets saved they are baptised (not
with water) into the death of Jesus.
For
by one Spirit are we all baptized into one
body (not
with
water), whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free;
and have
been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1 Cor 12:13
For as many of you as have been
baptized into Christ (not
with
water) have put on Christ. Gal
3:27
There is one body, and one
Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord,
one faith,
one baptism (not
with
water) Eph
4:4-5
Buried
with him in baptism (not
with water), wherein also ye are risen with
him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from
the
dead.
10.
Ordinances Back
To Headings
Now,
although popularly believed in Baptist circles
that water baptism and the Lord’s supper are ordinances for the church,
water
baptism and the Lord’s supper are not an ordinances for
the
church.
You’ve
heard of the phrase “the city ordinances”.
These are the rules and regulations given by the government of the day
to
maintain order and proper behaviour.
Now
the Corinthian church was a church that was
totally out of order. But Baptists would have us believe that
regular
observance of water baptisms and taking of the Lord’s supper, would
have been
enough to correct the out of control flesh of the Corinthian church.
No, when
Paul mentions ordinances he says …and keep the ordinances, as I delivered
them to you. 1 Cor 11:2
This
is past tense. When you read First
Corinthians, you will see that Paul gave them dozens of rules and
regulations
to bring order back into the church.
Furthermore,
why would Paul say For Christ sent
me not to baptize (water), but to preach the gospel:
not with
wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none
effect.
1Cor
1:17,
if
he was
giving the church water baptism as an ordinance? He wouldn’t!
The real danger of having water baptisms in a church, is that people assume that because they have been water baptised then they must be saved. This is similar to having a church membership badge – “I’m member now, I must be saved.”
11.
The Beast Back
To Headings
This
is the anti-Christ in the book of Revelation.
The beast will be the political leader of the one world
government in
the seven year tribulation.
There is another beast (Rev 13:11) that will be the false prophet, the Pope, who will be the one world religious leader from Rome (Rev 16:3;Rev 19:20)
12. Believe Back
To Headings
To
believe is to accept, trust and place your
confidence in something or someone and to take what they are saying as
the
truth.
It’s
so simple to get saved today and be with the
Lord for ever and ever in heaven.
The
jailer asks Sirs, what must I do to be
saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus
Christ, and
thou shalt be saved, and thy house. Acts
16:30-31
This
is Paul’s waterless gospel. Note, Paul didn’t
say “…and then get water baptised.”
Furthermore,
believing is not a work. But to him
that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the
ungodly, his
faith is counted for righteousness. Rom
4:5
Also
we are not saved by our works. For by grace
are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift
of God: Not
of works, lest any man should boast. Eph
2:8-9
It’s
so easy yet so hard for most unsaved people
today. People will believe anything but the truth. Why? They love their
sin,
their own lives, their own ability to solve problems etc. They say
“What??!!
I’m a wretched sinner and need to be saved otherwise I’ll burn in hell?
Come
and be put to death in Christ! Give me a break! Not for me sorry.”
The
next question is “Do we have to have faith to
get saved?” No. But if we believe the fact that Jesus Christ can save
us, then his
faith is put into our account and by his faith we are saved.
But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. Gal 3:22
13.
Believeth Back
To Headings
BelievETH
is to believe now, then believe the next second, then
believe the
next second after that, and so on. The verb “believe” with the “-eth”
ending (believeth) means to believe in the present and
then continuously
on into the future. You must have no breaks in believing if
you
believeth!
Before
Jesus went to the cross, a Jew had to believeth
in the Lord Jesus Christ.
The
reason for this distinction is as follows:
Every
moment of every day, Jesus was fulfilling
another part of the law and this was an ongoing process
from day to
day till he had fulfilled the whole law culminating in “It is
finished!” (Jn
19:30).
So the Jew had to keep on believing that Jesus was
continuously, and
flawlessly, performing the fulfilling of the law ie the Jew had to
believeth.
But since the whole law has been fulfilled by Jesus, who now sits at the right hand of God the Father, a man has to believe only once.
14.
British Israel Theory Back
To Headings
The
British Israel advocate believes that Queen
Elizabeth II of England sits upon David’s Jewish throne from which
Christ shall
rule and reign for eternity. She is only ‘keeping the seat warm’ for
Christ
till he comes back and then she’ll hand it over to him. I guess
there’ll be
some sort of ceremony where Christ will stand reverently to one side
and then
take to microphone with his acceptance speech. I’m sure he’ll give the
Queen a
bunch of flowers for her efforts and wish her all the best. If this
scenario
wasn’t so outrageous and totally untrue, it would be comical I guess.
15.
Born of water and of the Spirit Back
To Headings
Jesus
is talking to Nicodemus when he says …Except
a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot
enter into the
kingdom of God. (Jn
3:5).
The meaning of this verse is perfectly explained
earlier when John says … he that sent me to BAPTIZE WITH WATER,
the
same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and
remaining on him, the same is he which BAPTIZETH WITH THE HOLY
GHOST. John
1:33
Born of
water and of the Spirit
In
those days
John
the
Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, And saying, Repent ye: for
the kingdom of heaven is at hand. For this is he that was spoken of
by the
prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare
ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. Then went out to
him
Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan, And
were BAPTIZED
(water)
OF
HIM IN JORDAN, confessing their sins. Matt
3:1-3, Matthew 3:4-5
In
summary:
Jesus says to Nicodemus “Look Nicodemus, for you the
Jew, it’s a three step plan to get into the kingdom of God,
or five
actually if you are still around after the cross when Paul shows up.
Step
1
“You need John’s water baptism.”
Step
2 (a)
“Then you’ll need to perfectly obey the rules of the sermon on
the
mount, such that when you die you’ll go to Abraham’s bosom. OR
Step
2 (b) …
failing that, if you can’t fulfil the
requirements of the sermon on the mount, which of course you won’t, you
can
believeth on me as fulfilling the law perfectly for you. That
will be
your best bet Nicodemus because I’ll do it perfectly
for you.
You see, all the rich young man (Matt
19:16-19,20-23,24-27)
had to answer me was ‘Look Jesus I’ve failed but
I believeth in you (Jn
11:25-26)
that you are keeping the law perfectly on my
behalf.’ And he would go straight to Abraham’s bosom at death. I was
only
showing him he was sinner and he needeth me! But he walked off
sorrowful
because he thought he was perfect! The law had pricked his balloon!”
Step
3 “Lastly,
wait down in Abraham’s bosom till I come and get you and take all of
you in
captivity captive (Eph
4:8)
into the kingdom of God.”
Step
4
“Now Nicodemus, if you are still alive when Paul shows up with his
gospel, you
can be born of the Holy Ghost and go straight into heaven when you die.”
Step 5: “By the way Nicodemus, Peter’s gospel to the men of Israel will also get you into the kingdom of God.” Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38
16.
Born again Back
To Headings
At
the moment that you “Believe on the Lord Jesus
Christ” (Acts
16:31)
you are put into the death of Christ …that so many of us as were
baptized
into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death Rom
6:3.
After
this,
you are then born again into another life that begins in Christ
Jesus.
Your soul is saved (1Pet
1:9)
and your spirit is born again.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. … so is every one that is born of the Spirit. John 3:6-8
17.
Chastisement Back
To Headings
Chastisement
has the meaning of being corrected,
re-trained and re-directed and takes place inside of
a family.
This is what Christians need most of the time. Fathers need to chastise
their
children from time to time and this occurs inside of the family. When
you are
born again, you are in God’s family and are therefore subject to the correction
of God the Father. The unsaved when they die and go to hell
will not
be chastised there but will be punished and there is no thought
of their
being corrected and rehabilitated.
Israel were God’s chosen people and they needed chastisement. And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me; Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins. Lev 26:27-28
18.
Christian Back
To Headings
And
it came to pass, that a whole year they
assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the
disciples
were called Christians first in Antioch. Acts
11:26.
God
needed to establish the centre for Christianity
not at Jerusalem, where the Jewish saints were, but at Antioch.
This was
necessary for a clean break from any lingering Jewish religious
traditions and
doctrine. Read Acts
15:20,Act 15:29 ;Act 21:25 .
Christians are those in Christ. Roman Catholics are not Christians. JW’s, Mormons, SDA’s are not Christians. Oh yes, they all love Jesus, but the question is “Which Jesus?”
19.
Church Back
To Headings
1.
Today, anyone who is saved is in Christ and is a
member of his body called the church.
Who
now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill
up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his
body's sake, which is the church: Col
1:24
And
hath put all things under his feet, and gave
him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is
his body,
the fulness of him that filleth all in all. Eph
1:22-23
For
no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but
nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members
of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. Eph
5:29-30
2.
In the old testament the Jews was also called
the church even though they were not in Christ. They were a ‘type’ of
church
and called ‘the congregation’.
Saying,
I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in
the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. Heb
2:12.
This
scripture is a quote from Ps
22:22.
I
will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the
midst of the congregation will I praise thee. Ps
22:22
Today, churches have clouded the issue and equated ‘a membership of their church’ with being a member of Christ’s body. Unfortunately, this will send some people to hell.
20.
Circumcision - physical & spiritual
Spiritual
circumcision is the unseen spiritual operation performed
by God
when he separates the soul from the sins of the flesh. This is
automatic and
occurs at the very moment a man gets saved.
In
whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision
made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins
of the
flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Col
2:11.
Like
a ring-barked tree that actually dies,
physical circumcision under the old testament, was an actual body
operation
which only symbolized the death of self; and it involved that
part of
the male body that rises up.
Now
the new testament parallel is that the works
and sins of the flesh also rise up like anger, bitterness,
wrath and hatred and so on (Eph
3:1-12)
and God ‘cuts’ these off from the soul so that the soul is saved. God
performs not
a physical circumcision, but an unseen spiritual one,
that separates
the soul from the actual body of flesh. Your saved
soul is
called the inward man For which cause we faint not; but
though our outward
man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 2Cor
4:16.
And so our saved soul, the inward man, thirsts for God’s words For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: Rom 7:22, but the outward man, that is the flesh, is still full of sin and sins.
21.
Consecration Back
To Headings
To
consecrate something is an old testament term
meaning to set aside for sacred purposes. It is similar
to
sanctify. The Christian is sanctified, or set aside, in Christ. He is
our
sanctification. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of
God is made
unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and
redemption: 1 Cor 1:30.
The
apostle
Paul never uses this term in his writings except in his epistle to the
Hebrews.
22.
Confession Back
To Headings
Confess
your faults (not
your sins) one to another … Jam
5:1.
Christians go straight to God the Father through
Jesus Christ to confess their sins not some Pastor or priest.
They can’t
forgive you. And every priest standeth daily ministering and
offering
oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
Heb
10:11
If we confess our sins, he (not a priest) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
23.
Conscience Back
To Headings
Every
man in every tribe in every nation has a conscience.
Where did it come from? It comes from laws. All men everywhere know
that you
don’t steal from others, you don’t take another man’s wife and so on.
All
societies on earth have these laws. Where did these come from? From
Jesus. He created everyone. That was the true Light, which
lighteth
every man that cometh into the world. John
1:9.
All
men
know right from wrong and all are without excuse. All men know that
they are
sinners from their conscience.
For
the invisible things of him from the creation
of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are
made,
even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Rom
1:20
Of course, some have destroyed their consciences through excess sin and unbelief. Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 1 Tim 4:1-3
24.
Conviction Back
To Headings
See “Guilty”
25.
Covetousness Back
To Headings
This
is a desire for something with eagerness. Now,
covetousness is idolatry. Mortify therefore your members which are
upon the
earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil
concupiscence, and covetousness,
which is idolatry: Col
3:5
It
is one of the old testament ten commandments Ex
20:17,
and also one of the commandments of Paul Rom 7:7;13:9,
that there be no covetousness.
If
any man think himself to be a prophet, or
spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write
unto you are
the commandments of the Lord. 1 Cor 14:37
26.
Dancing Back
To Headings
This
is for nightclubs not churches. Dancing
is a physical activity and if women do it in front of the church and
the
congregation, they distract from the Lord Jesus Christ. Indeed, they will
cause people to sin by their display.
“I
don’t like the colour of her lipstick.” “I think
her flower in her hair was too big.” “She’s put on a bit of weight
hasn’t she?”
“I reckon I could dance better than her.” “I don’t think they were as
good as
last week.” “They didn’t dance in time.” “She shouldn’t be up there,
because
…”. “She puts too much make-up on.”
But
isn’t dancing mentioned in the Bible? Yes, in
the Old Testament. You can’t find it mentioned in the writings of Paul
for the
church.
Put
it simply, Eve was made from the flesh of Adam
and that’s why it’s the women who want to physically perform out the
front. Men
don’t want to.
People
say “Well, in our culture we’ve always
danced.” Yes, but that’s the problem – it’s a cultural thing not a
Christian
thing.
Furthermore,
men watching can be moved to lust and
indeed fornicate in their mind. I guess you can’t blame the women,
maybe some
of them are just up there to get a husband.
All
this is not good enough for a church don’t you
think?
When Christians go to a church they don’t want to be distracted or sin. Women will sin by passing judgment and men will sin by looking and comparing.

Death Penalty Back
To Headings
For
all have sinned, and come short of the glory of
God; Rom
3:23
For
the wages of sin is death; but the gift
of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Rom
6:23
But
many say, “I’m not a bad sinner like some
people I know”, but these people are just ignorant of the fact that
they don’t
need a million sins to go to hell – just one will do. For whosoever
shall
keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
Jam
2:10.
Yes,
perfect obedience is necessary to get into
heaven since the day you were born.
For
one sin, God demands death and an eternity in
hell as no sin or sinners can enter heaven.
You
have a choice - can get saved by the death and
shed blood of Christ or you will die and be punished in hell and
the lake
of fire forever.
Who has perfect obedience? Only Jesus Christ. You’ll need his perfect obedience put into your account to enter heaven.
30.
Deity Back
To Headings
The
term deity stands for God. There is only one
God of three persons and each of these persons is God also.
Here
is God the Father speaking:
Thus
saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his
redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside
me
there is no God. Is
44:6
Tell
ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take
counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath
told it
from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside
me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me. Is
45:21
Here
is God the Son speaking:
Saying,
I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the
last: … Rev
1:11
And
when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And
he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the
first and
the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am
alive for
evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Rev
1:17-18
Is Jesus lying when he calls himself the first and the last:? Of course not, he is the Father, he is God. Isaiah says also For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
31.
The Holy Ghost is God Back
To Headings
But
Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled
thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of
the price
of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was
sold,
was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in
thine
heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. Acts
5:3-4
32.
Devils Back
To Headings
The
Bible word is devils not demons. The world
calls them demons as if to make them not as harsh and evil as devils. D(evil)s
are evil.
33.
Dissemble Back
To Headings
This
word means to pull away from. This is the
opposite meaning of assemble or gathering together.
See Dissimulation. Back To Headings
34.
Dissimulation Back
To Headings
To
feign and to pretend. And the other
Jews dissembled likewise with him (James); insomuch
that Barnabas
also was carried away with their dissimulation. Gal
2:13
Barnabas, a dissembler, assembled with the other dissemblers.
35.
Doctrine Back
To Headings
For
the Christian, we follow the apostle Paul and
believe his doctrine and this is found in his thirteen
epistles
from Romans to Philemon. If it agrees with Paul it is doctrine for the
Christian, if not it is still true, but meant for another time or
dispensation.
But
thou hast fully known my doctrine,
manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, 2 Tim 3:10
patience… Be ye followers of me, even as I
also am of Christ. 1 Cor 11:1
Now
I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause
divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have
learned;
and avoid them. Rom 16:17
As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine, 1 Tim 1:3

Ecumenical Movement Back
To Headings
The
getting together of the denominations
1.
All those that want to be like Jesus or
who want to follow Jesus but won’t have him as their Saviour.
2.
All those that will not have God’s words
found in the Authorized Bible, The King James Bible.
3.
All those who still have the ‘doing’
religion ie still working their way to heaven.
4.
All those who believe you can lose your
salvation.
5.
All those who won’t have the doctrine of
Paul.
Today, it is getting so bad that as long as a person can say they have some sort of faith in a higher power, then they can get into the ‘Ecumenical Club’.
37.
Experience Back
To Headings
Experience
is preferred and has now replaced
the written word of the King James Bible for many Christians.
They say
“I believe this …” “I believe that tongues are for today …” “I believe
all
Christians can and should be healed…” “I feel this …” and so on. Even
when
Jesus when tempted in the desert by Satan he replied four times “It
is
written …” (Matt 4:4,6,7,10).
No, all experience is subject to the written word of the King James Bible.
38
Faith Back
To Headings
How
is a man saved? By his faith? No, never. It’s the
faith of Jesus Christ put to our account.
For
by grace are ye saved through faith; and
that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of
works, lest
any man should boast. Eph
2:8-9
I
am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live;
yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in
the flesh I
live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself
for me.
Gal
2:20
And
be found in him, not having mine own
righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the
faith of
Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: Phil
3:9
All
we have to do is “Believe” and this is not a
work, and the faith of Christ is put to our account.
But
to him that worketh not, but believeth
on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for
righteousness. Rom
4:5
The
jailer said …Sirs, what must I do to
be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and
thou
shalt be saved, and thy house. Acts
16:30-31

Fear Back
To Headings
There
is plenty of fear around today but it’s the
wrong type eg fear of not having enough money, education, housing,
superannuation, a job, disease, sickness and so on.
But
there is good fear –
Then
shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD,
and find the knowledge of God. Prov
2:5
The
fear of the LORD is the beginning of
knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Prov
1:7
The
fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom:
a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise
endureth for ever. Ps
111:10
As
someone once said with tongue in cheek
“Why pray when you can worry?” And isn’t that what a lot of Christians
do?
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Phil 4:6
40.
Fornication Back
To Headings
All
sexual intercourse that occurs outside of the legal
registration with a State or Territory, of becoming a husband or a
wife.
Many say “Oh he’s my husband/wife, we’re just not married yet.”
Oh yes, they are married (this is the physical act of sex) but they aren’t husband and wife. See how people get it back to front?
41.
Gentile Back
To Headings
Anyone
who is not a physical Jew.
42.
Glorification, glorified Back
To Headings
This
is the eventual end of the saved in heaven without
a physical body and to made completely like Jesus. They will have a
glorified body.
And
if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and
joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may
be also glorified
together. Rom
8:17
43.
Godhead Back
To Headings
This
is the Bible term for the man made title of
the trinity consisting of God the Father, God the Son and God
the Holy
Ghost. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the
Father,
the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 1 John 5:7.
Acts
17:29;
Rom
1:20.
Col
2:9
44.
Gospel Back
To Headings
The
word ‘gospel’ comes from ‘godspel’, ‘gods
spelling’, ‘good spell’.
The
gospel is the declaration that … that Christ
died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried,
and that
he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 1Cor15:3-4
However,
there are different gospels in the
scriptures eg the gospel of the kingdom of heaven, the gospel
of the kingdom
of God, the everlasting gospel to name just three. There
are more.
45.
Grace Back
To Headings
Grace
is getting something you don’t deserve
while mercy is not getting what you do deserve.
Grace
1.
God gives us his grace in Jesus Christ.
Being
justified freely by his grace through the
redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Rom
3:24
2.
You can’t work or earn or buy God’s grace
And
if by grace, then is it no more of works:
otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no
more
grace: otherwise work is no more work. Rom
11:6
Mercy
As the Psalmist says He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. Ps 103:10. The Lord gave them mercy.
46.
Guilt Back
To Headings
The
purpose of God’s laws is to produce guilt
in people so that they can go to Jesus Christ to be saved by the faith
of
Christ.
Now
we know that what things soever the law saith,
it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be
stopped, and all
the world may become GUILTY before God. Rom
3:19
Wherefore
the law was our schoolmaster to bring
us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that
faith
is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. Gal
3:24-25
Furthermore,
there are no good or bad sinners, as
the following says For whosoever shall keep the whole law,
and yet
offend in one point, he is guilty of all. Jam
2:10.
Although
having said that, sodomites commit
exceeding sin.
But
the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before
the LORD exceedingly. Gen
13:13.
Yes, they are truly bad sinners.
47.
Heresy Back
To Headings
Heretics
are those who won’t believe a certain
doctrine or creed. Today, the heretics are those who won’t believe and
follow
the doctrine of Paul. Paul outlines what to do about heretics and
others. It
can be summarized by reject, avoid, withdraw,
and have no
company with the following people:
A
man that is an heretick after the first
and second admonition REJECT; Titus
3:10
Now
I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause
divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have
learned;
and AVOID them. Rom
16:17
Now
we command you, brethren, in the name of
our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye WITHDRAW yourselves from every
brother
that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he
received
of us. 2 Thess 3:6
And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have NO COMPANY with him, that he may be ashamed. 2 Thess 3:14
48.
Holiness Back
To Headings
This
term often is confused with sanctification.
All
Christians are sanctified, that is SET
APART, when they are saved, but all may not be holy. Holiness is
the start
of the journey of obeying the Lord through the commandments of Paul
found from
Romans to Philemon.
I
speak after the manner of men because of the
infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants
to
uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your
members
servants to righteousness unto holiness. Rom 6:19
49.
Humility Back
To Headings
Humility
is an absence of pride. It is to lower
oneself. An excellent quality to have for a Christian.
But
he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God
resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. James
4:6
Humble
yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall
lift you up. James
4:10
Likewise,
ye younger, submit yourselves unto the
elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with
humility:
for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble
yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt
you in due
time: 1 Peter 5:5-6
Let
nothing be done through strife or vainglory;
but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than
themselves.
Phil
2:3
50.
Hypocrisy Back
To Headings
See
Dissimulation. A hypocrite is one who
plays a part or pretends. Like an actor on stage playing a part. One
who feigns
to be what he is not eg more pious or virtuous when he is not really so.
But
the wisdom that is from above is first
pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy
and good
fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. James
3:17
Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 1 Timothy 4:2
51.
Idolatry Back
To Headings
See
Covetous.
Mortify
therefore your members which are upon the
earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil
concupiscence, and covetousness,
which is idolatry: Col
3:5.
Christians have idols – sport, cars, interests, hobbies and the list goes on. A good idol to have is to be reading and studying the Bible. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Tim 2:15
52.
Impartation Back
To Headings
This
is a word meaning ‘a pouring into’ or ‘placing
into’. This is the opposite to ‘imputation’.
It
seems laughable, but the Roman Catholic at the
mass thinks he is eating the actual body of Jesus. The
Roman
Catholics’ Jesus is the wafer. The Roman Catholic believes that a man
must put
into his stomach the actual body of Christ. This is called impartation.
When he drinks the wine/grape juice, he also thinks that it is the actual
blood of Jesus Christ. After eating and drinking what he thinks is
Jesus’
actual body and blood, he thinks he has become godly and only then can
God at
that moment in time state that he is justified. The Roman Catholic
believes he
has an imparted righteousness and this makes him holy.
Of
course this is totally wrong as God “….
justifieth the ungodly…” Rom
4:5.
The bread and the grape juice are not the body and blood of Christ. The Lord’s supper is done in remembrance only.
53.
Imputation Back
To Headings
To
impute something means to charge or ascribe
something, either good or evil, to another.
Now
in the Bible we have sin or
righteousness that can be imputed.
And
therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
Romans
4:22
Blessed
is the man to whom the Lord will not impute
sin. Rom
4:8
The
epistle of Philemon gives a practical
illustration of imputation. Onesimus, a slave of Philemon, had
stolen from
him and run away to Rome. He was caught and put in prison where he
meets Paul
also a prisoner of Rome. Paul leads him to the Lord to get saved, and
on his
release, Onesimus goes back to his master Philemon who had also been
led to the
Lord by Paul. Paul gives Onesimus a letter saying If thou count me
therefore
a partner, receive him as myself. If he hath wronged thee, or
oweth thee
ought, put that on mine account; Phil
1:17-18.
Now
this is a perfect illustration of what the Lord
Jesus Christ did at the cross. Jesus says to the Father “Put everyone’s
sins on
my account and I’ll pay for them.”
Imputation is the act of God whereby he puts the sins of the sinner on the bill/the account/the invoice of Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ ‘pays the bill’ and settles the account with God with the sinner remaining uncharged.
54.
Imputed righteousness Back
To Headings
This
is God’s righteousness put into your account.
Suppose you were given a gift of 100 trillion dollars. You would not
collect it
in a suitcase would you? You’d say “Please put that into my bank
account.”
Now God’s righteousness could be likened to one hundred billion Amazon rivers. How much would you have to drink to be declared righteous before God. Why all of it! You couldn’t. That’s why God imputes (puts into your account) his righteousness – not imparts/infuses it into you like the Catholics falsely believe. That’s why they hate to miss mass – they think eating the wafer biscuit is enough to keep them righteous. They say “If I can just get Jesus, the wafer, into my stomach, God will pronounce me good!”
55.
Infirmity Back
To Headings
An
infirmity is something of the flesh. When
soldiers go to an infirmary, they are going there for flesh wounds and
diseases. Paul says If I must needs glory, I will glory of the
things
which concern mine infirmities. 2Cor11:30
Of
such an one will I glory: yet of myself I
will not glory, but in mine infirmities. 2Cor12:5
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2Cor12:9
56. Inspiration of the Scriptures. Back To Headings
Also
infallible, perfect, inerrant, pure
The
following is an excerpt from The Statement
of Beliefs of the King James Bible Church, Australia.
We
believe The King James Authorized Bible to be
the pure, perfect, infallible, inerrant, inspired and preserved words
of God,
and consists of the sixty-six books as found preserved in the 1611 King
James
Authorized Bible. Holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy
Ghost
and their words were written down, and have been divinely preserved,
throughout
the ages, until reaching us in its present form. The King James
Authorized
Bible has preserved the very words of God in the form he wanted in the
universal language of these last days - English.
We
believe that God’s word, The King James Bible,
is the words of God, and therefore we totally reject all other English
bible
versions. We believe that any Greek Textus Receptus has been corrected
in
several hundred places by the 1611 King James Authorized Bible.
We
believe that the scriptures are not open to private interpretation.

Ever heard the saying “The sun never set on

then he
used the English language to produce his perfect Bible.
Furthermore, to the chagrin (mortification, disappointment, humiliation, grief, sorrow, embarrassment, discomfort, wounded pride) of all gnostic Bible scholars, it’s wasn’t in the Greek or the Hebrew. (A chagrin is a roughened leather tool used for rasping wood.) The English rasps/smooths/corrects and files down the Greek and Hebrew in about 1,000 places.

Interpretation Back
To Headings
Knowing
this first, that no prophecy of the
scripture is of any private interpretation. 2 Peter 1:20
Ever
heard someone say “Oh, that’s just your
interpretation” when it comes to understanding the Bible. People say
“Well I
believe this and I think that.” It doesn’t matter what people think or
believe.
It’s what the scriptures actually say. Many are too quick to put their
own
interpretation on things without finding out what is written.
Knowing
this first, that no prophecy of the
scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came
not in
old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were
moved by
the Holy Ghost. 2 Peter 1:20-21
The Bible is not hard to understand. We look at what it says, is actually written, rather than what we think it means. Many people come to the Bible with preconceived ideas as to what it means. Of course, you have to have the King James Bible first of all. All the other versions are not Bibles – NIV, NKJV, Good News, NASV and the list goes on. There are over 300 other versions that have been published. Of course, if you were Satan there would be only one Bible you would want to change, and that would be the King James.
58.
Jesus Christ Back
To Headings
Jesus
Christ is God. Jesus Christ was God manifest
in the flesh.
And
without controversy great is the mystery of
godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the
Spirit, seen of
angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received
up into
glory. 1 Timothy 3:16
In
the beginning was the Word, and the Word was
with God, and the Word was God. John
1:1
And
the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,
(and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the
Father,)
full of grace and truth. John
1:14
For
there are three that bear record in heaven, the
Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
1
John 5:7
For
unto us a child is born, unto us a son is
given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name
shall be
called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The
everlasting Father,
The Prince of Peace. Isaiah
9:6
59.
Jew Back
To Headings
The
terms Jew, Israelite and Hebrew are all
interchangeable. Paul calls himself all three.
Are
they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites?
so am I …2 Cor 11:22
I am verily a man which am a Jew …Acts 22:3-4
60.
Judgment Back
To Headings
Judgment
is delivered by a judge. God will deliver
his judgment according to his laws and then dispense justice. One sin
means you
are off to hell. That’s God’s judgment. That’s his justice.
…Shall
not the Judge of all the earth do right? Gen
18:25.
For
example, a judge gives his judgment of “Your
guilty.”
He then says “You are sentenced to two years in prison.” This is the justice.
61.
Justification, justified Back
To Headings
God
declares that a man is just and
righteous when he is not made righteous.
The
practical example is a guilty lawbreaker before
a judge and someone else pays his fine. He now becomes just before the
law. He
is justified.
But
here’s the amazing thing for a Christian, the
judge himself pays the fine. God the judge goes to the cross himself. But
to
him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the
ungodly,
his faith is counted for righteousness. Rom
4:5
As Bible teachers point out “I have been justified, and it’s ‘just – as – if – I’d’ never sinned.”
62.
Justice Back
To Headings
Judgment
and Justice go hand in hand.
A
judge gives his judgment and justice
are the actions that follow.
For
example, the judge says “You Mr X are guilty.”
This is the judgement.
The
judge then says “You must pay $1000 dollars.”
This is justice.
Now,
God’s justice is impartial, correct and right.
…
Shall not the Judge of all the earth
do right? Gen
18:25
And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment and justice unto all his people. 2 Sam 8:15
63.
The law Back
To Headings
The
law and the ten commandments were never
given to save the Jew but to make their sin appear exceeding sinful.
Was
then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that
it might
appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by
the
commandment might become exceeding sinful. Romans
7:13
Now
we know that what things soever the law saith,
it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be
stopped, and
all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the
deeds of
the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law
is the
knowledge of sin. Romans
3:19-20
Story:
The parable of the boy in the well
illustrates how laws can never save
As
I walked in the country, I heard stifled but
startling cries, “Help! Help!”
Now
the strange thing was that as I peered around I
could see no one, no, not even a house or a tree where such cries might
come
from, and the cries had a muffled sound, as if the one crying were
covered up.
So
I looked around again, and there I spied a well,
over which was a winch.
So
I thought that perhaps someone had fallen into
the well. And so it was, for when I got to its edge, the cries were
clear and
plain and rang round the walls of the well.
In
answer to my question “Who is it?” I learned
that it was a boy who was strenuously crying for help. “How did you
come to
fall into the well?” I asked. “I ran without looking where I was going,
and had
my head turned round as I ran, and so fell in!”
Then
I began to muse, and thought how foolish boys
are, and how much they need some rules to guide them lest they fall
into wells
as they run.
So
I drew out my pocket-book and proceeded to write
down ten wise rules, which, if a boy would keep, he shall never fall
into
wells.
Now
as I re-read my rules, I saw that each was good
and just and true. So I was about to drop them down the well to the
boy,
saying, “Here are ten rules, which, if you keep _____!” but the boy
cried out
in anguish ______ “Alas, kind sir, it is not rules I need but a
saviour, and
right speedily, or I shall certainly perish in this cold water.”
So
I stretched out my hand, and with much pain and
care was able to rescue him, and none too soon, because for a time he
lay as
one dead, but shortly revived, and having thanked me warmly again and
again,
made his way home, often looking back to wave me more thanks.
So
I went on my way musing, and considered why my
rules, which were wise and good and just
and true,
but were not able to save the boy in the well. The boy needed a saviour
–
someone to save him.
The
law – three uses
There
are three uses of the law
1.
For the civil
order in society – to direct and train people to be decent and
orderly. To
restrain evil in society
2.
As a schoolmaster
to show people they are sinners and need Christ
Wherefore
the law was our schoolmaster to bring us
unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Gal 3:24
3.
To serve
as the rule of life for Christians. Where are the laws for
Christians?
Read Paul – Romans to Philemon. There are hundreds of them. If any
man think
himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the
things
that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. 1 Cor 14:37.
The
law - being under it
Most
Christians only read the second part of the
following verse.
For
sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye
are not under the law, but under grace.
Rom 6:14
They
think they are free from the law. Nothing could be further from the
truth.
As
a Christian God has laws that he wants
Christians to obey. They are now under the commandments of Paul. If
any man
think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the
things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. 1 Cor 14:37.
Christians are redeemed from the curse of the law. The curse of the law demands perfection without which no-one can enter heaven. But Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: Gal 3:13
64.
Legalism Back
To Headings
Legalism
in its original meaning has you getting
to heaven by your works. The Bible says the opposite For by
grace are ye
saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not
of works, lest any man should boast. Eph
2:8-9.
For those who think you can lose your salvation, they promote a legalism of works to maintain your salvation. Unbeknown to them, they are actually saying “Well, if you do what I tell you to do, you’ll get to heaven.” They don’t realize that others see them as just self-righteous dominators.
65.
Love Back
To Headings
You
can love this or that person but you may not
know how to and what to do that will please them. As
Christians,
we all agree that we are to love God, but how should we love God?
What
will please him? You see, love is the motive or the reason but it
doesn’t give
you the practical steps – it doesn’t tell you what to do.
Clearly,
the Lord says If ye love me, keep my
commandments. John
14:15
Jesus
answered and said unto him, If a man love me,
he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will
come
unto him, and make our abode with him. John 14:23
Question:
“What are the commandments for the
Christian?”
Answer:
We follow Paul as he follows Christ.
Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. 1 Cor 11:1.
Paul
says If any man think himself to be a
prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I
write unto
you are the commandments of the Lord. 1 Cor 14:37
The ten commandments are repeated in Colossians and Ephesians, and indeed the other eleven of Paul’s epistles, except the fourth “Keep the Sabbath” which was solely a command for the Jew.

1. I am
the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out

6:6 Not with

will of God from the heart; |
2 Thou

Mark of the beast Back
To Headings
And
that no man might buy or sell, save he that had
the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number
of his
name Rev
13:17.
The
mark of the beast cannot be offered a
before the rapture of Christians off the earth. Why? Those that receive
the
mark will suffer the fire of eternal torment (Rev
14:11,Rev 19:20 ).
This cannot apply to Christians who
have eternal security.
Just
suppose the mark was offered before the
rapture, there would be some saved but ‘weak Christians who might take
the mark
with their children and wife to feed. Therefore we see that the mark
can only
be offered after the rapture when there will be no Christians
on earth.
68.
Marriage Back
To Headings
This
is a misunderstood term. It is assumed that
marriage is the same as being a husband and wife. This is not the case.
When
a man hath taken a wife, and married
her… Deut
24:1
First,
you have a wife which is a legal requirement
of society and then you marry, have physical relations, with her.
Taking a wife is a legal ceremony and is to be registered with the Department of Births, Deaths and Marriages. Marriage is the physical joining together of a man and his wife.
69.
Mercy Back
To Headings
Mercy
is not getting what you deserve, while grace
is getting something you don’t deserve.
As the Psalmist says God showed Israel mercy He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. Psalm 103:10.
70.
Messiah Back
To Headings
He
first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith
unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted,
the
Christ. John
1:41.
There
are many who believe that Jesus Christ is the
Messiah but they won’t have him as their Saviour. These were the people
that
Paul wrote to in his epistle to the Hebrews. Today we call them
Messianics.
Millennium
This
is the 1000 years following the battle
of Armageddon which comes at the end of the 7 year tribulation.

Music Back
To Headings
Speaking
to yourselves in psalms and hymns and
spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Eph
5:19
Let
the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all
wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and
spiritual
songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Col
3:16
All
you need for a church service is a piano. Use
trumpets and violins if available. And if none of these are available,
just
sing unto the Lord.
Forget
the drums and the guitars as these are the
world’s instruments. You see there is too much body movement that
distracts
with these instruments. The emphasis today is on 1.Beat 2.Music
3.Words. The
reverse is to be the case 1. Words first
2.Then music 3.Then the beat if needed. Beat has
replaced
rhythm today. Hymns have a rhythm not a beat. Rhythm has pauses.
Modern church songs have been taken over by young people and are
mostly a
mindless repetition of words, beat, guitars and drums - all which
appeal to the
flesh.
Furthermore,
they sing of their love for God but not
the opposite of God’s love for us the sinner and Christ’s blood being
shed for
us. The number of times you will hear Charles Wesley’s famous hymn “And
can it
be that I should gain an interest in the Saviours blood” sung in
churches today
can be counted on one hand.
72.
New Age Movement Back
To Headings
The
new age movement is simply the old age movement
with different wig on and a bit of lipstick. There is nothing new under
the
sun. The new Age is just the old age. Basically the New Age hates Jesus
Christ
and his shed blood. New Agers hate being called sinners that must be
saved. Neither
is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under
heaven
given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts
4:12
73.
Obedience Back
To Headings
Entry
into heaven has always been by
obedience.
Old
testament saints could have atonement with God
with animal blood but never entry into heaven. Why? They had imperfect
works.
That is of course until Christ came to take captivity captive (Eph
4:8).
For
the saved, getting back into ‘God’s good books’
is by the at-one-ment of the shed blood of Christ.
Secondly,
Christ’s works are substituted as the Christian’s works.
Yes
the way into heaven is by obedience – not ours
but the obedience of Christ put to our account. This is called vicarious
obedience
– by the obedience of another.
Personal obedience? Many think they’ll enter heaven because they have been obedient since the day they were born. This may come as a surprise, For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. James 2:10. One sin means you are charged with the whole lot. It’s a package deal! “But I only lied once in my life!” “Sorry, you have murder, theft, rape, lust, violence, hatred, strife, sedition etc also put onto your account!”
74.
Ordinances Back
To Headings
Water
baptism
and the Lord’s supper are not an
ordinances for the church.
You’ve
heard of the phrase “the city ordinances”.
These are the rules and regulations given by a city council to maintain
order
and proper behaviour.
Now
the Corinthian church was way out of order.
Baptists would have us believe that regular observance of water
baptisms and
taking of the Lord’s supper, would correct them. No, when Paul mentions
ordinances he says …and keep the ordinances, as I delivered
them to
you. 1 Cor 11:2
This
is past
tense.
When
you read First Corinthians, you will see that
Paul gave them dozens of rules and regulations to bring order back into
the
church.
Put
it this way, why would Paul say For Christ
sent me not to baptize (water), but to preach the
gospel: not
with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none
effect. 1 Cor 1:17,
if
he was
giving the church water baptism as an ordinance? He wouldn’t!
The great danger of having water baptisms in a church, is that people assume that because they have been water baptised then they must be saved.
75.
Peace Back
To Headings
People
want peace on earth but do they want peace
with God?
Glory
to God in the highest, and on earth peace,
good will toward men. Luke
2:14
People
misunderstand this verse by thinking that at
last the earth will have peace. A sort of horizontal peace
between men.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Think not that I am come
to send
peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to
set a
man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her
mother, and
the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall
be they
of his own household. Matt
10:34-36
Furthermore,
the earth is rapidly getting darker
and more violent by the day. There will be no peace until the Prince of
peace
comes back. (Is
9:6).
No,
the verse of Luke
2:14
speaks of the fact that we can now have the vertical peace with
God and
no longer be under his wrath. There’s only one peace to have. Therefore
being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our
Lord Jesus
Christ: Romans
5:1

Post Millennialism Back
To Headings
This
is the time after the 1000 year reign of
Christ on earth. This will be called the day of God.
Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 2 Pet 3:12
77.
Prayer Back
To Headings
Just
keep taking everything to the Lord in prayer
every day and every moment of the day. A good thing to do. How do we do
this?
Rejoicing
in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing
instant in prayer; Rom
12:12
Be
careful for nothing; but in every thing
by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests
be made
known unto God. Phil

Continue
in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
Col

Confess
your faults one to another, and pray one
for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of
a
righteous man availeth much. Jam
5:16
But
we will give ourselves continually to prayer,
and to the ministry of the word. Acts
6:4
Peter
therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was
made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. Acts
12:5
Always
in every prayer of mine for you all making
request with joy, Phil
1:4
78. Propitiation Back To Headings
(pro
= before piti = ‘pity’ ion = the act
of)
A
gift that must be accepted to appease wrath.
The act of sending a gift to a wrathful ruler before you arrive in his presence, to gain his pity and therefore avoid his wrath. Moreover, it is a gift that must be accepted. The shed blood of Christ appeases, placates and completely satisfies God and he accepts it. This is the blood of Christ shed for sins.
79.
Punishment Back
To Headings
See
Chastisement. Punishment is for those outside
the family while chastisement is for those in the family. Those who are
saved
are not punished by God but are chastised by him.
For
he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth
and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For
this
cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we
would judge
ourselves, we should not be judged. 1 Cor 11:29-31
Those who are not saved will be punished in hell.
80.
Quicken Back
To Headings
Quicken
means to make alive.
And
you hath he quickened, who were dead in
trespasses and sins; Eph
2:1
And
you, being dead in your sins and the
uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with
him,
having forgiven you all trespasses; Col
2:13
The steps are: 1. Dead in sins 2. Forgiven of sins 3. Put into the death of Christ 4. Then quickened into a new life – born again.
81.
Ransom Back
To Headings
A
ransom is a demand + price -
a demand with a price attached.
The
demanded price when paid procures
the release of a captive or prisoner.
A
ransom is a release from captivity by complying
with another’s demand at a price.
In our case, God demanded that a certain price be paid for sinners. His demand was his own blood. God demands that he will go to the cross himself and pay the price with his own blood. No other price can or will do. God demands “I shall hang on the cross myself and my blood will fulfil the requirements of my laws perfectly. Only I can do this! This is the ransom!”
82. Rapture Back To Headings
The
rapture, being caught up, happens at the
end of the church age.
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thess 4:15-17
83.
Reckoned Back
To Headings
This
is an accountancy term, and one which means
the utmost accuracy, precision and detail.
If
you have ten dollars in your pocket, you can
reckon that to be the case. You have hard and factual evidence
that
cannot be disputed.
…
a certain king, which would take account

Likewise

dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Rom
6:11
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Rom 8:18
84.
Reconciliation Back
To Headings
What
is the Christian’s ministry? It is one of reconciliation.
A bringing together. In the first place you and God were at war and
were
brought together in peace by the shed blood of Christ. This was a
reconciliation. Now you have the job of doing the same for others.
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 2 Cor 5:18-19
85.
Redemption Back
To Headings
To
be redeemed is to be bought back with a price.
This is the act of buying back someone or something. A payment has
been made
so that the sinner can escape the wrath of God.
Redemption
is not remission. Whom God
hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to
declare his
righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through
the
forbearance of God; Rom
3:25.
Redemption is for all past, present
and future sins.
86.
Regeneration Back
To Headings
There
are two applications.
1.
This is what happens at the point of being
saved. When washed of our sins we are regenerated.
Not
by works of righteousness which we have done,
but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of
regeneration,
and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Titus
3:5
…Unto
him that loved us, and washed us from our
sins in his own blood Rev
1:5
2.
This is the time after the battle of
Armageddon, when Jesus will sit on his throne.
And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. Matthew 19:28
87.
Reincarnation Back
To Headings
Not
in the Bible. This is the false belief that a
soul passes from one body to another at death. And as it is
appointed unto
men once to die, but after this the judgment: Heb
9:27
88.
Remission. Back
To Headings
The
remission of sins was for past sins only.
See Redemption
89.
Repentance Back
To Headings
Repentance
is not a turning from sins but a changing
of the mind. The unsaved man thinks that if there is a heaven, he
will get
there by his good works or being a good person. But this thinking
will take
him to hell. He has to change his mind … he has to repent of
this
thinking!
The
steps are
1.
He must have a godly sorrow about his sin
and not a worldly sadness and sorrow.
2.
He changes his mind (repents) that only
Jesus can saved him
3.
He gets saved.
For
godly sorrow (step
1) worketh repentance (step 2)
to salvation (step 3) not to be repented of: but the sorrow
of the
world worketh death. 2 Corinthians 7:9-10
In
meekness instructing those that oppose
themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance
(step 2) to the acknowledging of the truth (step
3 that only Christ can save); 2 Tim 2:25
Now
I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but
that ye sorrowed (step
1) to
repentance (step 2): for ye were made sorry after a godly
manner,
that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.
90.
Restitution Back
To Headings
The
act of restoring something to someone or
something to its original condition. God will do this to the earth.
And
if it be stolen from him, he shall make restitution
unto the owner thereof. Ex
22:12
Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. Acts 3:21
91.
Righteousness Back
To Headings
Righteousness
is that quality of being right.
Who
is right? God
is right in all his ways
He
is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his
ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right
is he.
Deut
32:4
Is
man right?
No,
man is not right in any way shape or form
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. Is 64:6
92.
Rome and Christianity Back
To Headings
Complete
opposites. Rome’s Jesus is the wafer
they must eat to be internally pure so that God can pronounce them pure
and
righteous. That’s why Catholics hate to miss mass. It causes great fear
- what
if they should die before they get there?
Christians have the Lord’s supper only in remembrance. And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. 1 Cor 11:24-25

Salvation Back
To Headings
The
law can never save you. Story: The
parable of the boy in the well
As
I walked in the country, I heard stifled but
startling cries, “Help! Help!”
Now
the strange thing was that as I peered around I
could see no one, no, not even a house or a tree where such cries might
come
from, and the cries had a muffled sound, as if the one crying were
covered up.
So
I looked around again, and there I spied a well,
over which was a winch.
So
I thought that perhaps someone had fallen into
So I went on my way musing, and considered why my rules, which were wise and good and just and true, but were not able to help the boy in the well. The boy needed a saviour – someone to save him. The laws can never save you.

Sanctification Back

To
sanctify is to set apart.
Ex

Lev
11:44,
Lev
20:8, 1 Chron 23:13,
Neh
12:47,
Rom
15:16
This
is the act of God whereby he sets apart the
saved sinner into the death of Christ.
Those
who are Christ are sanctified and have
eternal security. For by one offering he hath perfected for
ever them
that are sanctified. Heb
10:14.
This
means
that once saved, you can never lose your salvation.
This gets confused with holiness. Holiness is what you do once you are set apart/sanctified.
95.
Saved Back
To Headings
Saved
from what? Saved from hell which is the
wrath of God. Hell is God’s wrath for those that reject Jesus
Christ as
their Saviour.
For
God hath not appointed us to wrath,
but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 1 Thess 5:9
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3:36

Second coming Back
To Headings
The
second coming occurs at the end
of the seven year tribulation. This will be by the physical
Son
of man – Jesus Christ in the flesh.
The
Son of God (not physical) appears for
the church at the rapture before the seven year
tribulation.
97.
Sin Back
To Headings
Anything
that disagrees with what God wants.
Reading Paul’s writings of Romans to Philemon will more than expose the
many
sins a Christian, although saved, will commit. Paul writes the
commandments of
God as he says If any man think himself to be a prophet, or
spiritual, let
him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the
commandments
of the Lord. 1 Cor 14:37 .
Oh
yes, the Christian is under the law, that is,
the 3rd use of the law. It’s called the law of liberty and
the law
of love. Under the old testament, God gave his laws to condemn and to
show …
that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful. Rom
7:13.
This was called the curse of the law (Gal
3:10)
from which Christ has redeemed us (Gal
3:13).
The
1st use of the law is to maintain
law and order in society.
The
2nd use of the law is as a
schoolmaster to take us to Christ (Gal
3:24-25)
The 3rd use of the law tells us how to love God. Now that you are a Christian, not loving God that way he wants, is a sin. Start reading Paul dear Christian.

Sodomite Back
To Headings
Sodomites
are men who have sex with other men. They
were killed under the Old Testament laws. God destroyed the city of
Sodom with
fire and brimstone.
But
the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before
the LORD exceedingly. Gen
13:13
Yes,
sins are sins but this is an exceeding sin.
Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; Gen 19:24

The Son of man Back
To Headings
On
earth, Jesus was the Son of man. This was
physical flesh and bone.
At Armageddon Jesus will again appear as the Son of man. And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Matt 24:30

The Son of God Back

God is a Spirit (Jn
4:24)
the Son of God has no flesh or physical body. At the rapture, Jesus

as the Son of God.

Soul sleep Back
To Headings
Not
mentioned in the Bible. For the unsaved after
death there is the judgment.
Paul
says For I am in a strait betwixt two,
having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which
is far
better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for
you.
We
are confident, I say, and willing rather to
be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 2 Cor 5:8
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Heb 9:27

Tempting Christ Back
To Headings
This
means to speak against God “Where are you God
in this situation?”
And
the people spake against God, and
against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in
the
wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water;
and our soul loatheth this light bread. And the LORD sent fiery
serpents
among the people, and they bit the people; … Numbers
21:5-6
Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. 1 Cor 10:9

Temptation Back
To Headings
The
Bible meaning of the word ‘temptation’ is not
necessarily one of a moral seduction as in the modern usage, but of
making
trial or test of a man to 1. Prove a certain quality or 2. Show
a sin.
a.
Jesus when tempted by the devil (Lk
4:13)
proved he was a man who did no sin
b.
While the Jew in his forty years of wandering in
the desert, showed nothing but sin.
Harden
not your heart, as in the provocation, and
as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: Ps
95:8
c.
Now some people when they hear the word of
God They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive
the word
with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time
of
temptation fall away. Luke
8:13.
d.
What was Paul’s temptation? It was an actual
infirmity in his flesh. He had an eye disease that made him look
unattractive.
And
my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised
not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ
Jesus. Galatians
4:14
(KJB)
e.
God says this about temptations, that he will
make a way of escape.
There
hath no temptation taken you but such as is
common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be
tempted above
that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to
escape,
that ye may be able to bear it.

Tithing Back

Tithing
is the modern day Pastor’s use of walking
by sight (and using guilt) to extract a certain amount of money out of
the

having
membership of the church and making sure worshippers don’t miss a

without good reason, tithing is a nice little earner. “But without
tithing our
church wouldn’t exist?” they cry – not knowing that statement simply

certain fearfulness on their behalf. Yes, their church very well may
not exist.
Tithing
is never mentioned by the apostle Paul, but
cheerful giving is. The Christian is freed from the old testament law
of
tithing.
But
people ask the question “Isn’t Abraham
our father in the faith and didn’t he tithe?” The answer is “Yes of
course (Gal
3:9),
but Abram tithed to Melchisedec (Gen
14:20)
before he became a man of faith.” You see, Abram heard the
promise (Gen
12:1-3)
but he didn’t believe it. He only became a man of faith (Gen
15:6)
AFTER tithing to Melchisedec.
Now having Moses and the tithing of the law removed, cheerful giving now becomes the real test for the Christian. All that Christians have belongs to Christ and he may require 20%, 30%, 50% and upwards. Adhering to tithing can hinder those who have been financially and abundantly blessed from giving more. The church can shake off the limitation of Moses and his tithing commandment as he is no longer, and never was, needed to prop up and enforce wrong doctrine, and deadness, upon a church.

Transgressions Back
To Headings
These
are known sins as the result of
breaking known laws. Because the law worketh wrath: for where
no law is,
there is no transgression. Rom
4:15
So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it; 1 Chron 10:13
107.
Trespasses Back
To Headings
These
are unknown sins. And Jacob was
wroth, and chode with Laban: and Jacob answered and said to Laban, What
is
my trespass? what is my sin, that thou hast so hotly pursued after
me? Gen
31:36

Ungodly Back
To Headings
The
ungodly man (1Tim
1:9;
1Pet
4:18)
is dead in trespasses and sins (Eph
2:1).
Ignoring
these two terms, the Calvinist invents the
phrase Total Depravity (of which neither word can be found in
the Bible)
to describe and unsaved man. This means that man is in such total
bondage to
sin and evil that he cannot respond obediently to God’s commands. In
other
words, man has no free will to “Believe on the Lord Jesus
Christ and be
saved” (Acts
16:31)
What
scripture verses do they use to back this up?
…
There is none righteous, no, not one:
There is none that understandeth, there is none that
seeketh after
God. Rom
3:10-11.
In
their rush to prove their ungodly doctrine, they
fail to grasp the vast difference in meaning between the words
‘seeketh’
and ‘seek’ and ‘understandeth’ and ‘understand’.
So
the ungodly man might occasionally
SEEK and UNDERSTAND after God but he is not
doing it all
the time (as in seeketh and understandeth). And
that’s
understandable. He might inquire into this religion or that. Probably
go to a
Sunday night Baptist service. The next night he might be in some night
club
somewhere. Then he might study Christianity for a while. Then go off
into a
Buddhist retreat. Then go off out into the world again. The he might
get blind
drunk for a year or two and hit the drugs and so on. He feels
unfulfilled and
dissatisfied. But he is looking and searching for a god and/or indeed
God the
Father.
You
see, the King James translators used the right
word as directed by God.
To
be unsaved, ungodly and dead in
trespass and sins means you still have a free will. The unsaved
can
or has the ability to seek God.
Calvinism
is known by the word T.U.L.I.P. which
stands for Total Depravity, Unconditional Election, Limited
Atonement, Irresistible Grace, Perseverance of the
Saints. None
of these terms are to be found in the Bible so that means Calvinists
can make
up their own meanings and definitions for them. These terms are all interdependent
on each other, so should one of them not hold up, the rest fall as
well. As it
is said “A chain is as strong as its weakest link.”
Foundational
to Calvinism is the Total Depravity.
Now the real sin of Calvinism starts to be revealed. The Calvinist
wrongly
believes that the start of salvation begins with the Holy Spirit making
a man
want to believe, against his will, by an act of infusing grace
into an
unsaved man. This can nowhere be found in the scriptures. Now here’s
the
blasphemy, the horrendous sin against the Lord Jesus Christ and his
shed blood.
The
Calvinist believes because man cannot of his
own free will seek God, he must be chosen and selected
by God to
be saved. Now for this to happen, an act of regenerating and renewal of
grace
by Gods’ Holy Spirit must infuse a totally depraved man
against his
will, in order for him to believe. “Oh yes”, they cry, “but a man
is still
justified by Christ’s blood (Rom
5:9).
Salvation is only of the Lord!”. But wait a minute, God justifieth
the
ungodly (Rom
5:5)
not the regenerated man.
You
see how Satan slips in the back door by
reminding us that is the Spirit that gets the ball rolling. “Thank you
Holy
Spirit! We praise you Holy Spirit! If it wasn’t for you the shed blood
of Jesus
wouldn’t be effective!”
Now
if you can’t see the error in this, that is why
it is called the mystery of iniquity. Regeneration before salvation
is pure
Roman Catholic theology.
For
the Catholic attending mass, he must first eat
Jesus and drink his blood, to be regenerated inside, and then only at
that
point in time, can God pronounce him justified. So the mass is
regeneration
before salvation.
Calvinism
is a lie directly out of Rome. It comes
straight from the writings of Augustine the ‘great’ father of Rome. And
no
marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 2 Cor 11:14
So
Calvinism rewrites the salvation process
according to Rome. Of course, most Calvinists are unaware they are
Roman
Catholic in this regard, that is, regeneration before salvation.
Ungodly
(continued)
No,
God says he justifies the ungodly not
the regenerated. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him
that justifieth
the ungodly, his
Rome
wrongly believes that at the mass, God
justifies the godly. The Catholic eats Jesus (they wrongly
believe that
the wafer is the actual physical body of Jesus), he becomes
internally
godly, and only then, will God justify and pronounce that
Catholic as a
good person and saved. Of course this presents a dreadful problem. As
the
effect of the wafer lasts only about 30 minutes or so, what will happen
if they
die before they can get their Jesus of the next mass, into their
stomachs
again? Catholics live in excruciating fear and dread for all their
lives, never
knowing whether they will end up in heaven, hell or indeed purgatory.
Calvinism
is just another twist on this satanic
doctrine. They believe if a man is totally depraved, he must be made
brought to
a point where he can believe. So the Calvinist wrongly says that the
Holy
Spirit has to make the mind of the totally depraved man able to accept
Jesus
Christ as Saviour. This is also a regeneration before salvation Rome =
imparted
(infused) grace
Calvinist
= imparted (infused) grace + imputed
grace. Calvin straddles both!
Paul
= imputed grace

Worship Back
To Headings
The
mistaken belief is that this only occurs in
church services. No, Christians’ daily lives should be a 24 hours
practical
example of worshipping God.
How
do we worship God? Under the old testament,
there were rules and regulations on how to do this. Now we read Paul
and see
different commands on how to worship God. We find out what pleases him,
not as
Jews as that era has gone, but as Christians. We follow Paul the
apostle as he
follows Christ. Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
1 Cor 11:1.
Read
what
God likes in Paul’s writings of Romans to Philemon and see how a
Christian
should worship God with his or her life throughout the day.
