EXPLANATION:
There are two
scriptures as follows:
For when they shall
say, Peace and safety;
then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with
child;
and they shall not escape. 1 Thessalonians 5:3
I will both lay
me down in peace, and sleep:
for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8
The first one
speaks of the desires of the
world at the moment … everyone wants peace and safety in the world and
for the
world … and it will come after the rapture of Christians, but it will
be
temporary and false under the cruel rule and reign of (the) anti-christ.
The second
verse tells that the Christian
already has the peace and the safety he needs in Christ. Christians who
have
died simply sleep. Sleep in the Bible means death and the Christian is
dead in
Christ, as the following verses say …
For this we say unto you by
the word of the Lord,
that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall
not
prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall
descend from
heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the
trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 1 Thessalonians 4:15-16
AND HERE’S THE DIFFERENCE …
There’s TWO
types of peace and safety … DOING
and DONE.
In Christ,
Christians are happy as ‘pigs in mud’ as
their peace and safety is “DONE” with God’s approval as the
scripture
says
Glory to God in the
highest, and on earth peace,
good will toward men. Luke 2:14 with God announcing to the
world that peace is to found only in his Son Jesus Christ
and
But when ye go over
Jordan, and dwell in
the land which the LORD your God giveth you to inherit, and when he
giveth
you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell
in safety;
Deuteronomy 12:10
As the Old Testament saint
was to dwell in safety
in the actual physical land of Canaan, Christians rest in safety as
they dwell
in the actual spiritual land of Christ himself.
Regarding peace
and safety, Christians are ‘DONE’.
Regarding peace
and safety, the world is still ‘DOING’.
